These last few months, we've been putting a spotlight on our instructors and how they got into .

This month was particularly special as we said goodbye to Alan Ackroyd who has been part of the Cambridge instructor team for the past 4 years. Apart from his incredibly diverse experiences before coming into Bikeability (via Roxanne De Beaux at Camcycle (Cambridge Cycling Campaign), Alan shared some great stories including how an 8 year old 'confided' in him about his co-instructor: “Larry looks very old. Will he be ok on a bike?”.

Thank you so much for having us—it was an absolute pleasure working with your fantastic Year 5 pupils! 🚲 We loved seeing Toucans and Orangutans grow in confidence and develop such important road safety skills. Well done to all the children for their enthusiasm and effort, they should be really proud of themselves! 😊
