Potteries Heavy Haulage are looking for an experienced Class 1 (C+E) driver with abnormal load / heavy haulage experience to join our team.

We have a driving position available in one of our heavy haulage trucks, suitable for someone with abnormal load driving experience.
If you're looking for a fresh challenge, we have an opening available for the right person. We're looking for someone with abnormal load experience, European experience, hardworking and a team player.

Potteries are looking to recruit an experienced Cat C + E Licence (Class 1) Driver. Experience within the heavy haulage industry is essential. You will have a mixture of regular work and ad-hoc work to deliver, with a great team around you to help and learn from.
The nature of the role requires flexibility. The role will include working outside of normal working hours and occasional weekend working with frequent nights out. Whilst mainly UK based this role may include some European work and occasional weekend work. This is a full-time position.

The salary for the position is circa £48k and will be based upon experience. Workwear will be provided. Pension.

Duties:
• Drive the vehicle in a safe and legal manner
• Safe loading of cargo, including, strapping, chaining, and sheeting
• Ensure tractor is kept in immaculate condition both inside and outside
• Ensure trailers are left clean and equipment stowed away.
• Complete defect sheets and report defects as required.
• Have a good working knowledge of the UK road network, must be able to follow a notified route
• Maintain a positive attitude towards colleagues and customers
Minimum Requirements:
• Full HGV C+E (Class 1) License
• Heavy Haulage / Abnormal Load Experience
• Full Driver CPC card
• Clean License, maximum of 6 points

You will be working with experienced drivers utilising a modern fleet backed up by our inhouse team of mechanics and highly experienced planners.
The nature of the role requires flexibility and working outside of normal working hours. The role will require occasional weekend working and frequent nights out during the week.

**Applicants must be over 21**

Duties:
• Prepare es**rt vehicle and daily vehicle checks
• Helping in-house driving team to load and unload vehicles
• Read and follow movement orders to es**rt abnormal loads
• Es**rt in-house and external drivers as required
• Operating / Steering Hydraulic trailers
• Acting as trailer banksman, steersman, and attendant
• Es**rt abnormal loads across the UK road network
• Positioning of the es**rt vehicle on the road to warn other road users
• Post-operations vehicle checks
Minimum Requirements:
• A passion for road transport, especially abnormal loads
• Can do attitude
• Clean/Full, B Category Car License
• An appreciation of the UK road network
Training:

We're seeking a proactive Maintenance and Yard Assistant to ensure the smooth functioning of our fleet and yard. Your responsibilities will include:

• Independently performing basic maintenance tasks as instructed.
• Assisting in more complex maintenance activities under supervision.
• Executing general yard duties to contribute to overall operational efficiency.
• Maintaining impeccable cleanliness and safety standards within the yard premises.
• Thorough cleaning of a variety of vehicles, including Vans, HGV’s, and Trailers.
• Loading and unloading Machines and Plant.
• Safely storing equipment within the yard.

Job done. Last week we completed the transport of two vessels from Antwerp to Stanlow Refinery, each vessel weighing 107Te.

Utilising our specialist Goldhofer heavy-duty modules, the loads were pulled by drawbar using ballasted tractors. The vessels were delivered in tandem with a combined gross weight of 364Te. 💪
