Good afternoon all - I have had more calls & messages from customers concerned about the implementation of the new EES (Entry & Exit System) being rolled out at ports & airports.

The EES applies to the Schengen area, which comprises 25 of the 27 EU member states as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland - Republic of Ireland are not as yet implementing the new system.

The system means most non-EU citizens will have to register their biometric information at the border. Travellers’ faces will have to be photographed and fingerprints scanned before they are allowed into Europe’s Schengen area. The system will eventually replace passports being stamped by border officials.

This will be done at passport control AT YOUR DESTINATION AIRPORT so there may be delays whilst the system gets up and running but NOT from your UK DEPARTING airport.

Your biometric data (fingerprints and photo) will be recorded and stored in a central EES database for three years - each time you travel to the region the 3 year time will reset - you’ll only have to renew your details on the database if your passport expires and a new one is used.

I hope this clarifies and helps - there is no need to arrive at the Airport any earlier and for those who have asked both Birmingham & East Midlands average time from drop to departure lounge is less than 30 minutes.

If you are currently applying for or have have your grant confirmed or even if you use transport at present we may be able to match & reduce your personal contribution please drop me a message.
We can work directly with DWP so you don’t need to worry about your taxi fares taking a chunk out of your pay cheque!
We have a slot available for mornings & afternoons.

Burbage Airport Taxis have a vacancy for a self employed driver and are looking for the right person to join the team.
If you hold a taxi licence then great - if not assistance will be given to achieve this - 50% of the badge costs will be funded by me and once you have been with us for three months you will be reimbursed the remaining cost.
We specialise in Airport travel but also service School run contracts and daily commutes to work.
Average earnings c£500-£750pw

Car & insurance provided
Will included some early mornings/evening pick ups but mostly between 07:00-17:00
Monday to Friday and occasional weekends.
Must be over 25 for insurance purposes, have held driving licence for over a year and have max 3 points.

Good morning all! As you may have seen (can’t really miss them!) I have put up the Christmas inflatables - some people are not impressed but the vast majority stop and smile which is what it’s all about.
