Welcome to Hobkin Ground Farm
We run a 17th century family run hill farm on the southern skirts of The Lake District National Park. We run a flock of 350 plus Llyen sheep and a herd of 50 Limousin cattle. Our farm is run via traditional low impact farming methods and we have begun our venture into becoming a truly regenerative business. We are ever looking to improve on ways that supports our climate and ecologically minded lifestyle. Our farm is currently supported by a homemade hyrdolic turbine helping us come ever closer to our goal of running 100% of personal renewable energy. We are also in the process of moving our hay and silaging fields away from mono grasses towards more natural and diverse herbal lays and we are looking to included some native cattle into our herd in the new year.
