I’m afraid I bring you some very sad news today.

John Blanche’s wife Lin has asked me to let you all know that John passed away a couple of days ago.

John was an inspirational artist, devoted to his family and a good friend to many. Always generous with his time and knowledge, he was very well loved by all who knew and worked with him. He’ll be hugely missed.

The world of Warhammer was brought to life by his vision of the grimdark setting and I know his art meant a lot to so many of you. He leaves behind an enormous legacy that has enriched many people’s lives.

The family will say goodbye to John privately but there will be a get together in the future for everyone to celebrate John’s life.

Burman Pro501 50w combo amp. £750. Rare I let these go. EL34, red transformer. Amplifier section is the one I posted earlier, fully gone over, new caps, new impedance selector (because the old plug ones were a major failure point), HT fuse added. Stuff I've learned are good ideas over a decade of gigging pro series Burmans. Big reverb tank in the bottom of the combo. Driver is original, with original connectors, could prob do with just putting a jack on a lead on it, driver is kinda a taste call, figure if changing driver, do the lead, if into original stuff leave it as is.

Trace Elliot Bonneville 100w guitar amp. Rotary selector that changes up the gain and tone on the front. Goes up to pretty high gain, def chugs, strong low end. This has had a fair bit done, new caps, the odd output selector system replaced with a familiar 3 way rotary and jack. Feel like this ampo would really suit someone down to the ground if can figure the right person. Trace are better known for bass stuff, but this is def guitar with the gain options.

Not fully sure what to call this one, but reckon it was a Sola Sound branded Vampower build originally, but the clipped off front panel might have been factory, no real need to have clipped it off for the presumably new sleeve in its history. Other half of the intact example had the model SS100. Its basically a vampower, with the bite control. Clearly had a life, and seems to have a power resistor that wasn't soldered at one end from new, but it apparently worked enough to have been used a lot. Put new caps in underneath the chassis to retain the symmetry on the top, few resistors and such replaced inside. New valves. The built in 'bite' distortion is not to my taste, the clean is mighty, but think that distortion is part of the Vampower magic people are after. £850.
