Sometimes these posts just write themselves.....
So, (mentioning no names) the waste company with the red bins haven't collected from this customer for 3 weeks.

Apparently it's an issue with the driver's hours as their scheduled collection is on a Friday.

There are no issues with their accounts team that have continued to bill the customer for collections that clearly haven't been made.

Anyhoo, customer sent me a text at 7am this morning and I've just been and cleared the lot.

So, if you're looking for a regular, reliable waste collection service - give me a shout.

Service update.

We're back on the road. Won't get into the long story but following a shoddy part replacement, the prop shaft sheared itself off. Obviously the potential for a catastrophic crash if the prop had embedded into the road, but crisis averted and I got the van safely over to the near side.
I'll be speaking to the garage that carried out that repair in due course......

Massive shout out to for scooping me up off the A10 in no time at all.
Huge thanks to for having the prop I needed in stock and dispatching it for next day delivery.

Last shout out goes to DRT Auto for looking after the van and fitting me in for the prop replacement this morning.

I've still got Fridays collections on the van. That'll be off loaded tomorrow and then it's back to normal service on Thursday.

Apologies once again to everyone that got the cancellation message - literally couldn't be helped.

Service update......

The van has decided it wants a rest. To be honest, she could have waited but she does like the A10 and we were very nearly at her favourite spot to have a rest - the Hertford Viaduct

We've invited Hertfordshires finest over to join us and WP Recovery are hopefully bringing sandwiches.

On the plus side, my weekend just opened right up!
On the down side it means a complete cancellation of bookings at least into next week.

I do know what's gone wrong and it should be a relatively straight forward fix but with one thing and another it's all happened at once.
