The first City Centre Movement and Access consultation drop-in is taking place this afternoon at the Council House. Drop in anytime between 3pm and 6pm to view the plans in person, and talk to the project team about the 'City Core' measures in particular

⚠️❌ Sherlock Street in Birmingham City Centre is closed due to a crane lift - until 17th July. 🚌 A couple of bus services will be impacted as a result, National Express West Midlands
35, 45 and 47 bus services.

As part of HS2 construction, key bridges and crossing points will be closed at Aston Church Road and Saltley Viaduct. A public drop-in event to explain travel
disruptions in Washwood Heath will take place on Saturday 29 June at 2pm - 4pm in Ward End Library. 🚄

We had a fantastic time celebrating at the ThinkTank Museum. Pupils from various schools got involved with a variety of activities, including creating their own air pollution monitors and presenting their ideas to clean up the air around their schools.

The northern footway on Lee Bridge between Heath Street and Aberdeen Street is closed until 30 September 2024 to facilitate highway and footway improvements as part of the A457 improvement scheme. A pedestrian diversion is in place, via the southern footway.

PLEASE NOTE: Works on the A457 Dudley Road improvement scheme are now progressing over Lee Bridge.

The northern footway on Lee Bridge between Heath Street and Aberdeen Street is closed from 17 June to 30 September 2024 to facilitate highway and footway improvements. These works form an important delivery phase of the wider A457 improvement scheme which will create enhanced pedestrian, cycle and highway infrastructure. A pedestrian diversion is in place via the southern footway to facilitate pedestrian and cycle access across Lee Bridge.

Schoolchildren from across the city have gathered at Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum today for a special event marking .

The pupils are learning about changes they can make to improve air quality, and have put together their own Clean Air Charters.
