Following numerous reports from residents regarding the condition of the alleyway behind Boots in Devonshire Road, I’m pleased to confirm that, after reporting the matter to Rother District Council, the area has now been cleared.

The alleyway had become almost impassable due to the significant amount of rubbish that had built up. I even attempted to help clear parts of it myself, which highlighted just how serious the issue had become.

Thank you to residents who raised concerns and to Rother District Council for acting on the report. It’s a good example of proactive local action — listening to residents, reporting issues, and getting things done. If something isn’t right in Central Ward, please do continue to get in touch.
