A core part of the team now after joining us last summer. For those of you who know us well and are from Beverley, you may already know Steve.

For those who don't he's a top example of all things Westholme; friendly, happy, and always ready to go.

When we asked Steve what his favourite part of being a taxi-driver is he said, he loves 'just chatting to random people' 💛

This Spring has been a busy one with lots of folks heading off for winter sun. As we head into the summer season now is a good time to get in touch about door to door service.

⛪ We are very proud of some of our most famous landmarks here in Beverley. For example did you know Beverley Minster is considered one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in the country?

Larger than some cathedrals, this historical building has stood in our community for over 800 years. With twice weekly roof tours you can take in some incredible views of our wonderful market town from way up high (book in advance through Bev Minster website).

If you're arriving in town for a wedding, a birthday, visit to church, or just to wander the streets and soak up history - we'll get you to/from with care and respect. We're proud to be part of Beverley's story 🚘

If you've rung us for a taxi you've likely spoken to Michelle. A licencee of Westholme for over 15 years, Michelle is often to be found in the office and on the phones.

When she's not hard at work in the office she:

✈️ loves holidays (when time off allows)
🍴 likes eating out with family & friends
🏇 goes racing with family
✏️ is a bingo demon...

Family is at the centre of all we do here at Westholme and Michelle is what holds us all together ❤️

Sunny days, evenings and Beverley racecourse on the telly, racing season is back. This year may be a bit trickier for transport on some days with road closures and diversions planned, but it will be what it will be.

⛽ Fuel price rises!!

Like you, we've all been feeling the rise at the pumps in our pockets lately. This is having a knock on affect across a lot of sectors - taxi services included.

Sadly due to the ongoing war and the increasing cost to fill fuel tanks - we will be making a small increase in fare charges next week.

We don't do this lightly and hope that you know there isn't anything we can do about it at the moment.

Overnight road closures for April 👇

🚧 A164/Jock's Lodge junction scheme.

The A1079 will be closed in both directions overnight between Killingwoldgraves roundabout and Jock’s Lodge roundabout for the installation of the vehicle restraint system and surfacing works on:

Tuesday 7 - Friday 10 April
Monday 13 - Friday 17 April
Monday 20 - Friday 24 April

Between the hours of 8pm and 5am.
