πŸ† | Introducing the Sandy Grieve Most Improved.

We are proud to unveil the Sandy Grieve Most improved, this award as of now will remain aslong as our club exists.
Sandy was 1 of our co founders along with Robert Johnson and was monumental in getting funding for our clubs first visit to Zeewolde.
For a generation of people in this town Sandy was their first coach. Sandy instilled manners, respect and discipline and helped grow everybody's love for the game.

An instrumental figure who's loyalty and dedication towards our club will be honoured for years to come.

Sandy Grieve, a true legend.
Thank you πŸ™

⬇️ | RESULTS, SCORERS AND POTM'S!

Well done to all of our teams today! πŸ‘

U9s - A very edgy start from the Vipers against a physical Wallsend side- however once into their rhythm the young Berwickers turned the screw and were clinical in taking their chances! Well in Vipers! 🐍

U10s - Commiserations to the Bulldogs as they bowed out of the Chairmans Cup at the Semi final stage. A fantastic closely contested match for the duration but it was Killy who progressed. We would like to wish them all the very best going into the final. πŸ†
Unlucky Bulldogs, the club is proud of you.. heads up! πŸ‘

U10s - The Jaguars had a really positive morning all round. Plenty of goals in this 1! Coaches are really proud of the teams attitudes and progression over the past few weeks in particular, Keep it going Jags! Well done! πŸ‘

U11s - Our Cobras put in a solid shift this morning at the Sports Centre. A conscious effort to shift the ball quickly which made for some fantastic passages of play. Much like the Jaguars, there were plenty goals in this encounter. Well in Cobras! πŸ‘

U12s - Was good to see our Lions back in action today. Swalwell went into this match as favourites after only suffering 1 defeat this season but the Lions shook up the division with a very impressive 2-0 win! A top class performance from our U12s! Well done! πŸ’ͺ
Its also worth noting these teams met last season and we were on the receiving end of a 12-0 defeat. Really proud of your progress Lions, a huge congrats! 🦁

U15s - Evenly contested first half with few clear cut chances for either team but it was ponteland who led 1 nil at the break.
A 15 minute spell in the 2nd half was berwicks downfall ponteland scoring a further 3 to make it 0-4. A strong finish from Berwick was a positive creating several chances but they would regret not finishing their opportunities. Heads up Pumas! πŸ‘

Well that's our round up for another week, Enjoy whats left of your Sunday night everyone. 😊

Last week we recieved the news that our club had been awarded with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).
The KAVS is the highest award given to voluntary groups and is the equivalent of an MBE.

We have thanked everybody past and present who has helped this club recieve such a prestigious accolade. We have had a celebration night to mark the occasion by getting all of our current teams along including committee members of past and present.

Finally we would like to pay tribute to 2 gentlemen that is no longer with us, Sean Simpson and Sandy Grieve.
Both of these men have left a footprint not just at our club but among many people throughout the decades of our clubs existence.
We are sure they are looking down with the same immense pride we feel.

From all of us,
Thank you. πŸ™

πŸ‘‘ | Berwick Rangers Juniors awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service.

Berwick Rangers Juniors are both proud and delighted to announce that they have been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).

The KAVS is the highest award given to local volunteer groups - the equivalent of an MBE - and recognises outstanding work done in local communities for the benefit of others.

Berwick Rangers Juniors have been providing fun, inclusive competitive football coaching and training for four decades in and around Berwick. Indeed, the parents of many current junior players were also members of β€˜the Juniors’ in their youth.

The KAVS is only awarded to the very best of hundreds of nominated groups each year. It is a badge of excellence and a ringing endorsement of Berwick Rangers Juniors’ committee, coaches and dedicated volunteers that provide healthy, safe and fun sporting activities for youngsters of all abilities.

Commenting on the award Berwick Rangers Juniors chairman Steven Ingram said: β€œthe committee and I are absolutely delighted to have been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service, but this is an award for every member of our entire group, from the volunteers painting pitch lines on a cold winter’s day, to the parents ferrying young players to-and-from matches and all our hard-working volunteers, going above-and-beyond to provide safe, stimulating football for our junior players. Our thanks also go out to everyone in the local and wider community who have supported the juniors over the decades which has helped us become the club we are today.

β€œAnd it’s something all our young participants should also be very proud of”.

The award will be officially presented by the Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland , the Duchess of Northumberland at a later date .
