With the arrival of winter and Christmas nights out, taking a taxi is a convenient and practical way to get out and about.

The licensing system is there to help you have a safe and pleasant journey. Here are some top tips:

All our drivers must

• display their badge and let you inspect it
• display an external and internal licence plate
• private hire vehicles must display private hire door signs
• white hackney vehicle must charge no more than the metered fare.
• hackney meters must be set at: tariff 1 between 6am and 10pm; tariff 2 between 10pm and 6am; tariff 3 from 9pm Christmas Eve to 6am on 27 December and from 9pm on 31 December to 6am on 2 January; tariff 4 between 6am and 10pm on Sundays and bank holidays

Always check the meter inside the car, it will display the tariff number.

If the tariff number is wrong for the time of day, of type of day, report it to [email protected]

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un (Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return).
It is with deep sorrow that we at Castle Cars share the news of the passing of our dear uncle and valued driver, Mohammad Saleem. His unwavering dedication, warm smile, and kind spirit touched the lives of his colleagues, passengers, and the entire community. He was more than a driver, he was an uncle whose presence brightened our days. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannah-tul-Firdous, and make his grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise.
The Janazah (funeral prayer) for our beloved uncle will be held tomorrow at Banbury Madni Masjid. We invite our community, colleagues, and passengers who knew Mohammad Saleem to join us in praying for his soul and supporting his family during this difficult time.
