Good afternoon everyone,

Due to the constantly increasing costs associated with running nationwide collections and deliveries, Jack and I have decided that we will need to suspend our delivery service from the end of May.

We will still be running planned routes between 03-06/05/2022, 10-13/05/2022 and 17-20/05/2022.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the past couple of years and have met and worked with some amazing people, and for that we thank you! Unfortunately however, running our courier service is no longer cost effective and with both of us being on the road each week, has become detrimental to the restoration aspect of our business.

We understand that this decision will be disappointing for some of you, and we would like you all to know that we appreciate and are extremely grateful for all your support and custom through the years.

This has been a tough decision for the pair of us and we thank you for your support and understanding,

Good morning!

I am joining Jack on the delivery route this week so I will still be doing admin, just as and when the signal/ laptop battery permits!

Also, just a quick reminder that if we do not have an email address for your customer/seller, we will use the email address for yourself to send the delivery/collection details to. This means that it will be your responsibility to pass on the date and time of the collection/delivery. If the customer/seller is not present for the delivery/collection and we cannot contact them, the item will be taken back with us or not collected and a rebooking fee and storage fees may be applied. Please remember that the emails can sometimes end up in the Junk/Spam folder, so have a quick look in there!

This stunning piece of furniture by Gunther Hoffstead for Uniflex could easily be used as both a dressing table, or a desk! With solid Teak sleigh legs and eye catching drawer front design, this piece really makes a statement!

The teak veneer top has been sanded back and sympathetically restored, featuring a strip of Dixie Belle ‘Black Sands’ along the back, where there was previous, extensive ink damage.

The drawer fronts have also been stripped to remove stains and damage to the original finish and, along with the top, have been refinished with a hard wax oil, for protection and durability.

We are a business that specialises in the restoration and transportation of Vintage furniture. Over the past years we have built up a large client base of other furniture painters and dealers throughout the country who use us to deliver their items to their customers.
We are currently looking for a responsible Self Employed Delivery Driver that will be able to assist us in nationwide collections and deliveries of vintage furniture items.

Responsibilities:
•Deliver restored and painted vintage furniture to different addresses and through different routes
•Follow the planned routes and time schedule
•Securely Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
•Carefully manoeuvre furniture items to avoid causing damage as part of a two person team.
•Securely package furniture items if necessary
•Use our tracking software to access routes and record collections and deliveries
•Complete logs and reports
•Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

Due to the length of some routes, our delivery drivers will be required to spend 2-3 nights per week in a paid for hotel away from home, expenses will be provided for food. The working week will be Monday-Thursday (Monday: half day Tues-Thurs: full days)

Preferred Start Date: 07/03/2021

Requirements:
•Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
•Valid UK driver’s license
•Excellent organisational and time management skills
•Good driving record with no traffic violations
