As Summer slowly slips into Autumn, the world of theatre comes into its own. Music, comedy, plays...the choice is vast across our 3 easily accessible venues of Buxton, Derby and Stoke on Trent.
Why not get together with friends for a 'Night at the Theatre' and let us take care of transporting you around. Maybe take in a meal beforehand at some of the excellent eateries?

Prices for a return journey on one of our 15 seater minibuses, with driver, start at £175 (Derby) so less than £12 per person based on a full bus.

ℹ️About us
Here at Ashbourne Community Transport, we are a community transport charity with decades of experience. We connect people with services and events that other transport can not provide. We have a fleet of modern accessible vehicles that range from cars to buses. We offer services like passenger assistants to ensure that we can offer transport to people who need a little more support. We have our main office in Ashbourne and also operate from Burton and Glossop areas too.

We also have the Ashbourne Little Bus Company which is our private hire minibus business that offers passenger transport for private events. Ashbourne Little Bus Co provides the much-needed financial support that the community transport charity needs to function.

ℹ️Desirable candidate experience
The ideal candidate would have experience within a professional driving environment and meet all/some of the criteria, but we can offer training and support in many of these areas for the right candidate.
• Full UK driving license (This is a must, ideally no points)
• As most of our fleet are minibuses, so a D1 entitlement on your driving license (101 restriction is ok)
• Experience within a similar role
• Located either in Ashbourne or Glossop area or the ability to commute.

ℹ️What does the role involve
• Completing daily vehicle inspections
• Driving a range of vehicles
• Keeping your vehicle clean and tidy
• Passenger interaction
• Some cash management
• Using a Ticketer system (training will be provided)

📌New Board Member
ACT welcomes Cllr Caroline Cooper as a new Board Member and representative from Ashbourne Town Council.

📌Coming Soon New Friday Ashbourne Shuttle Service
- Ashbourne Town Council are sponsoring a new Friday shuttle service run by ACT for Ashbourne residents.
- The service, which must be pre-booked, will pick-up passengers around the town for a range of destinations, including Shawcroft Car Park, Market Place, Sainsbury’s and Waterside Park between 1030-1100 with a return route from 1230.
- The new service will be trialled for 6 months with a return fare of £4.
- A start date of Friday 18 August 2023 is planned.

With links to Buxton and Cromford railway station and scheduled bus services to Derby, Uttoxeter, Stoke and Macclesfield you can also plan travel over a wider area.

How to book...

ℹ️ Please note our offices will be closed Friday 7th until Monday 10th and will reopen on Tuesday 11th so any phone or email bookings must be made before 5pm on Thursday.

We are supporting the Warm Spaces Project in Ashbourne this winter. Churches across Ashbourne are opening a space to stay warm this winter. All warm spaces will provide free hot drinks and are open to all ages.
