We’re a family-run transport, warehousing and farming business based at Inverkeilor in Angus and are looking to either:
Employ an experienced Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
or
Engage with a self-employed mechanic looking for a base/workshop

What the role/work includes:
• PMIs
• MOT preparation & defect rectification
• Servicing and repairs on HGVs & trailers
• Brake testing & safety inspections
• Some plant / agricultural machinery work

Self-employed option – what we can offer:
• Use of a modern workshop at Inverkeilor
• A guaranteed base level of RT McEwan fleet work
• Opportunity to bring in and grow your own customer work
• Flexible working arrangement by agreement

We’re looking for someone who:
• Has solid experience with HGVs / commercial vehicles
• Understands PMIs, MOT standards and roadworthiness
• Is reliable, professional, and safety-focused

As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Driver’s to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
We are looking for skilled HGV Class 1 Driver’s (Category C+E) to operate our articulated vehicles for transporting goods across the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety standards, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Transport Goods: Safely transport goods to various locations across the UK, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and keep your vehicle in top working condition.
• Loading & Unloading: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods when required, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a clean driving record and practicing safe driving at all times.
• Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and representing the company professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
• License: Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with CPC certification.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with UK road networks and traffic regulations.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
Working Hours
• Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Flexibility: Overtime and weekend work when required.
• Nights out: Average three per week.

We are currently seeking a skilled Class 2 (Category C) LGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for local collections and deliveries.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a LGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver
- Valid commercial driving license (CPC)
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- Ability to handle physical work including loading and unloading cargo
- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented approach
Hours:
- Minimum 40, Starting at 08:00 Monday - Friday (Overtime as required).
