We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected amongst four events taking place in Cumbria this year to benefit from a grant and support in PR and marketing activities from Cumbria Tourism to help us speed the word about Ambleside Sports to a broader audience 🎉

As an event run entirely by volunteers, we couldn’t be happier with this support and hope it attracts more people to come and enjoy our sporting event packed with traditional Lakeland sports this July🏃

Snow and icy conditions are affecting our county, and some of its roads this morning, with further snowfall predicted throughout the day.

The Met Office's Amber weather warning remains in place and residents and visitors are asked to only travel if necessary and to stay away from the fells to keep you, and mountain rescue volunteers safe.

The continued snowfall and cold weather forecasted today could present challenging road conditions across Cumbria.

If you must travel, please do so with caution; allow extra tie for your journey, check travel updates and road closures and drive to the road conditions.
