Today marks the 40th anniversary of Hi-Speed Services, founded by CEO Ian Dawkins following his experience as a Postman. This event inspired him to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions.

Over four decades, Hi-Speed grew from a single van operation into many, initially using Tesco’s Aldershot as a temporary car park. The company subsequently acquired its first official site on the border of Ash and Aldershot, establishing a foundation for further expansion to Rugby, and Ash Vale. Hi-Speed now provides a comprehensive range of services, encompassing Logistics, Warehousing, Pick and Pack, Overnight Pallets, International Shipping, and Technical Services.

Statement from Ian Dawkins

“The birth of Hi-Speed was down to pure chance and circumstances.

From connections in football and through friends the first job was taken in 15th April 1986.

The long journey started and gradually grew with the help of family and friends over the years to this current day running over 75 vehicles from cars to 40ft artic Lorries.

The success is down to looking after staff who in turn look after your customers as simple as that,

Here's to the next 40 years.”

In truth, Hi-Speed's current position is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our staff, as well as the continued support of our valued customers. Collectively, we have overcome numerous challenges, including several recessions, fuel crises, and pandemics. Today, we operate a 30,000 square foot site in Ash Vale and a 100,000 square foot site in Rugby, employing a team of 80 professionals across both locations.

We sincerely appreciate everyone's ongoing support and look forward to sharing similar milestones with you over the next forty years.

Glow Radio - Hampshire & Surrey

The team down at Hi-Speed are once again raising funds for Phyllis Tuckwell, Hospice Care with their annual football tournament.
Last year, 16 teams competed raising £9,426! This year they want to surpass this, with 20 teams and over £10,000 being raised for this amazing Charity.

Registration is now open for this year’s tournament. The fee is £500 (same as previous years). All fees are paid via their Just Giving page.

March 25th is special because it celebrates both International Waffle Day and Tolkien Reading Day. Since we couldn't choose just one, we think it's best to enjoy them both!

Meet Our Barketing Team!

At Hi Speed, we take our Barketing very seriously 🐾. Our furry friends play a crucial role in keeping our spirits high, and each site has its own unique four-legged approach!

• At Rugby, Kenzo (Head of Barketing) is bold and determined – if he can’t reach his ball, sofas beware!
• Meanwhile, Ash Vale’s Barnie prefers a more relaxed technique. If his ball rolls out of reach, he simply lies down and waits for assistance.

No matter their style, we couldn’t imagine the office without them. They bring endless joy and help us unwind after a stressful day. Here’s to the pups that make work a happier place! 🐶💼

Happy St Patrick’s Day☘️

HR has warned us to stay away for Irish stereotypes. So instead, we will teach a bit of history courtesy of Wikipedia.

St. Patrick's Day commemorates St. Patrick, a 5th-century Christian missionary who is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland. Born in Roman Britain, he was kidnapped by Irish pirates as a teenager and enslaved in Ireland. After escaping, he returned to Ireland around 432 CE to convert the Irish to Christianity. ⛪

He is famously associated with using the three-leaf shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to the Irish people. The holiday marks the anniversary of his death on March 17, 461.
