💭 A real thought for today…
Running a small business in this day and age is tough. Every mistake is shouted about, every flaw is magnified … but when we do something right? It’s brushed aside with “well, that’s your job, you get paid for it.”
What cuts the deepest is how quick people are to jump on social media to tear down a reputation that’s taken years of hard work to build. One bad experience and it’s a post, a rant, a share, a DO NOT RECOMMEND!! But when someone leaves happy? When we go above and beyond? Social media is rarely the first thought. Silence. And that silence can be just as loud.
We don’t have endless budgets, fancy teams, or big-name backing. What we do have is passion, graft, and an appreciation for every single person who gives us a chance. New customer, returning customer, or even someone who simply shares a post, tags a friend, or drops a kind comment. You’re doing more for us than you know.
It’s funny isn’t it? People will complain about the big corporations, slag them off, but still hand them their money. Yet when it comes to a small business, the first instinct can be to criticise, tarnish, and forget the good.
So here’s the honest truth: support doesn’t always mean spending. A like, a share, a recommendation, a kind word. Those things go further than you’d imagine.
To everyone who stands with small businesses, who sees the effort and chooses to lift us up instead of tear us down — we see you, and we appreciate you more than words can say 💛
