Shetland Heart Screening began with the loss of John Pirie (PJ) from Gulberwick, who sadly died following a Cardiac Arrest in December 2017, aged just 29. Folk came together in Johnโs name, raising money to provide heart screening events in the hopes that nobody in Shetland has to lose a loved one again.
This yearโs free heart screening event took place at the weekend and it was once again a hugely successful event reaching a huge milestone of screening with the 1000th person screened! A huge well done to everyone involved โค
Shetland Heart Screening continue with their fundraising efforts to enable them to book future screenings. Follow their page for more information.
