We have had a very busy few weeks
5 trips to The Dick Vet school in Edinburgh, a trip to Hirds in Cheshire, a few recoveries and a trip to the very north of Scotland, 55 miles of single track roads to this astonishingly beautiful location

Today has been a day I hope never to repeat. I was 2 minutes away from taking my 88 year old father for lunch when a call came in to take a horse to the Dick Vet. Pop home and on my way in less than 10 minutes. A new customer has googled emergency horse transport, called me and got an instant yes, quick return home and on our way. Sorry Dad!
I am onsite within 40 minutes and wait for the vet to administer pain relief and sedation.
We are on our way to Edinburgh. 20 minutes later the poor horse is not coping with the pain. Call Ardene House Vets and they provide emergency care for my passenger with stronger drugs and again on our way. I have transported many horses and ponies to The Dick Vet but this poor horse was extremely unwell and I have never been so concerned for a passenger before. Alerted the vets there and they were waiting for us on arrival. Straight into the theatre area, numerous vets attending and a very speedy response. Everything crossed for this special horse. We are lucky to have such passionate people looking after our animals.
Looking forward to bringing this one home.
