2025 has been a year of progress, responsibility, and constant learning.
Throughout the year, our team coordinated the transport of a wide range of wildlife, supporting conservation, rehabilitation programs, and zoological institutions across Europe and beyond. Each operation was carefully planned, always prioritizing animal welfare, safety, and professional collaboration.
Operating by land, sea, and air, every journey challenged us to refine our processes, strengthen coordination, and continue learning from each experience. Because in wildlife logistics, improvement is not optional — it is a responsibility.
This year also marked an important milestone for Komodo Zoo Services:
🇬🇧 we officially began operations in the United Kingdom, expanding our international reach and reinforcing cross-border cooperation.
We keep growing.

Dear colleagues,

As we approach the end of the year, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have placed their trust in Komodo Zoo Services throughout 2025, as well as to those who have followed our work and shown interest in our services.

It has been a pleasure supporting zoological institutions and partners worldwide, working together to ensure the safe, professional, and responsible transport of animals. Thanks to the confidence and collaboration of our partners, 2025 has represented an important step forward for our company. During this year, we successfully completed transports within the European Union, as well as to the United Kingdom, Norway, and Switzerland, and we also managed several overseas exports.

Our work has included the transport of complex and sensitive species, often over long distances, involving strict temperature control, and long ferry crossings. These experiences have strengthened our operational expertise and reflect our steady, step-by-step growth and our commitment to animal welfare, reliability, and high-quality standards.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a very happy New Year. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with our long-standing partners, and we would also be pleased to explore new and exciting projects with institutions we have not yet had the opportunity to work with.

A few days ago, our team coordinated the transport of a Przewalski’s horse (Equus ferus przewalskii) from Germany 🇩🇪 to Spain 🇪🇸 and two nilgai females (Boselaphus tragocamelus) to southern France 🇫🇷 — a journey driven by collaboration and conservation.

🐎 The Przewalski’s horse, known as the last true wild horse, once disappeared completely from its natural habitat. Today, thanks to international breeding programs and the dedication of zoos and conservation centers, it once again roams the steppes of Central Asia — a true emblem of resilience and hope. 💚

🦌 The nilgai, or blue bull, is the largest Asian antelope and plays a key ecological role in its native habitats across India. Its impressive adaptability and gentle nature make it an important ambassador species in European zoos, helping raise awareness about the conservation of Asian grassland ecosystems. 🌾

Each relocation requires careful planning, teamwork, and a deep respect for animal welfare. 🌿 Because every move counts when it comes to protecting biodiversity. 🌏

🐸🚐Our team supported the transfer of a group of Vietnamese mossy frogs (Theloderma corticale) and Ziegler’s crocodile newts (Tylototriton ziegleri) from Cologne Zoo to Faunia, Madrid, as part of the conservation programme🌱.

This project connects institutions across Europe to help safeguard Vietnam’s unique biodiversity and support their long-term survival through coordinated breeding and education initiatives.

At Komodo Zoo Services, we’re proud to assist with the logistics that make conservation projects like this possible✨ — always prioritising animal welfare and precision in every move.

This summer, our team had the privilege to take part in a meaningful project — the transport of Iberian Ibex (Capra pyrenaica) from the heart of Spain’s Sierra de Guadarrama to the French Pyrenees, as part of a reintroduction initiative. 🏔️🐐

For us at Komodo Zoo Services, being part of conservation projects like this goes far beyond logistics — it’s about contributing to the future of wildlife and supporting the dedicated teams working for species recovery. 💚🌿

After hours of driving through mountains and valleys, our team stayed on-site well past sunrise, ensuring every animal’s welfare and safety until the very end. ☀️💪
