A box sent to Manila was in transit for six months. Half of the contents was damaged or spoiled by improper handling. At that time, besides the damaged items, 190.-DM were required from us. Nevertheless, we told ourselves that there must be a way to make this better, so that the packages will arrive to its destination with the same condition as when they were picked up, and at appropriate prices.
A friendly, very intelligent and very popular Filipina, who leads an association successfully for years, encouraged us to build up our own cargo forwarding service. Thus, we opened our own service which, to our joy, was gradually availed by our customers. With increasing fame and contented customers, our established clientele grew to the present-day size. We became known for good service, dependability and friendliness. We send not only Balikbayan boxes to the Philippines, but all items, as well as industrial goods and container loads, in collaboration with international forwarding agencies and Shipping lines. Today, we are using two new Fiat Ducatos with a capacity of about 50 boxes. With those, we can also pick up your packets in far areas like in the Alps without extra charge. Our customer base extends till Austria, where we offer our service and pick up boxes regularly with our distributors situated in Vienna, Linz, Graz, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Bregenz. Our service also covers the whole federal territory from East to West and from South to North within Bremen and Flensburg. Our company will provide you container vans of your own choosing (between 20ft or 40ft-sized) to load your household items/personal effects that you intent to bring to the Philippines. Normally, we will turnover the container van to you Friday morning so that you can load the container at easier phase during the weekend. Then it will be picked up again from your place the following Monday (provided you have earlier agreed to this date). If you so require, we can provide the manpower who will assist you in loading your items to the container van. We can make this available in Bavaria and other federal states. We do advise you to pack your goods in cartons with their respective markings to hasten the loading and unloading later processes. We advise you not to take in any flammable materials and other prohibited items (such as drugs and firearms) to avoid problems in customs’ clearing in the Philippines. Once loaded, the container will leave your place and same will be taken to the container terminal at Altenwerder via Hamburg, where it will be loaded to the outgoing vessel to the Phils.(your choice of Manila, Cebu and Davao) via Singapore port. Upon arrival in the Philippine port, we will attend to all the customs’ processing requirements and secure subsequent clearance for its release through our duly licensed customs broker. You will be required to provide our broker with the necessary documents (official copy of the bill of lading, your passport etc) and settle the financial issue prior to the container van’s actual arrival. Upon request we will provide transportation for your container van from the port harbor to your desired destination anywhere in the Philippines (additional charges maybe required for those intended to places outside of Metro Manila). You will be informed thru telephone of the estimated time of arrival of the van at your end. We also make containers available for shipment of industrial/commercial items and make arrangements for their customs’ clearance in the Philippines.
