Chris Edwards Garmisch-Partenkirchen Tourist Info

Chris Edwards Garmisch-Partenkirchen Tourist Info Due to ill health I have had to give up my Taxi and Tour Business! I hope to be of service!

Hello,
I do Full Day Tours to the local area at very reasonable prices, prices are per vehicle and not per person, we use my Mercedes Viano Minibus with real leather seats and air conditioning to take up to 7 passengers. For Tours I recommend 1-5 people for more comfort, for airport transfers I can take a maximum of 6 customers depending on how big or small your luggage is! Chris Edwards

Hello,
I´m afraid I have had to turn in my Taxi Licence due to ill health and no longer do Tours, I have also sold my Minivan and Taxi.
So, please no more requests for Tours or even requests for a Taxi, just call 0049 08821 1616 which have become simply too expensive and time consuming any way.
Thanks for all your support in thepast and the website will rmain to give tourists some more insight to the area, it is also very hard to delete a FB page anyway.
I hope tourists willreturn in the future to enjoy this area of great beauty and history.
Best Regards,
Chris Edwards

Just flicking through the Internet to see If any former Mobile guides are back on the road, found one charging €299,00 per person, OK, I have to charge a minimum amount to make a profit, but I normally charge about €450,00 for 2 people and it stops at €600,00 for a max of 4- 6 people, kids with Parents/Adults are free.
As in, 2 adults plus 1 or 2 or even 3 kids stays at €450,00!
I much prefer doing shorter Half Day Tours without Neuschwanstein which has become a Circus of sorts.
I think €250,00 for 5 hours covering, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Ettal, Oberammergau and Linderhof is very fair, obviously this would not include Neuschwanstein and there is a lot more travel time and miles.
If you would like to cover Plansee, Reutte(Ehrenburg), and Lermoos to see the Zugspitz Arena after Linderhof on the Half Day Tour it will be €50,00 extra to cover the extra miles on return.
Hopefully the lousy weather will be clearing up soon and booking a Half Day Tour can be made on the same day, IF I´m working that day, still better to give me a few days notice though as I normally work in the late afternnon.
I need my beauty sleep! ;)
Have a great Holiday wherever you find yourselves!
Regards,
Chris Edwards

Something to look forward to, 30,000 BMW Bikers!

Be there: The BMW Motorrad Days from 5 - 7 July 2024 are returning to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and will take place against a fantastic Alpine backdrop.

Sorry that this page has been so quiet for such a long time, Winter is not much of a Tourist time and there has been dismal amounts of Snow.
The good news is that BMW have decided to come back to Garmisch-Partenkirchen this year, after being very dissappointed with Berlin, we did try to tell them!
Linderhof is starting to get very busy, Neuschwanstein is still crazy and their ticket booking system has changed so much that my Guests have to order Non-Refundable tickets Months in Advance.
And that is why I have changed my Business Model to Half Day Tours, we ignore Neuschwanstein as it is so far away, so complicated and so uncertain that I have decided I have enough white hair already.
If you want to visit Neuschwanstein I charge a bit more for the extra travelling and distance, If you want to see inside you have to book early!
English speaking Tourists are nearly as rare as Hen´s Teeth at the moment, and it will probably be at least 5 years before the Tourists come back to Europe for holidays, and why should they, the USA has wonderfull places to visit?
Obviously Covid stopped my Tours stone dead, but as I have a Taxi I could go back and earn my money from the Taxi Stand, 20 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Taxi Drivers gave up, so enough to do driving around Garmisch or doing Airport Transfers, it was so busy the last 2 years I have even started to employ a German Driver, too old for 10-12 hours a day, semi retired I suppose?
I get a second Taxi soon, can´t be without transport for myself so it might as well be a Taxi ;) then the Government pays fot its running!
Thank you all for your loyalty over the last few years and I wish you all the best of health!
Look after each other!

2. To me, "drink responsibly" means don't spill it.
3. Age 60 might be the new 40, but 9:00 pm is the new midnight.
4. It's the start of a brand new day, and I'm off like a herd of turtles.
5. The older I get, the earlier it gets late.
6. When I say, "The other day," I could be referring to any time between yesterday and 15 years ago.
7. I remember being able to get up without making sound effects.
8. I had my patience tested. I'm negative.
9. Remember, if you lose a sock in the dryer, it comes back as a Tupperware lid that doesn't fit any of your containers.
10. If you're sitting in public and a stranger takes the seat next to you, just stare straight ahead and say, "Did you bring the money?"
11. When you ask me what I am doing today, and I say "nothing," it does not mean I am free. It means I am doing nothing.
12. I finally got eight hours of sleep. It took me three days, but whatever.
13. I run like the winded.
14. I hate when a couple argues in public, and I missed the beginning and don't know whose side I'm on.
15. When someone asks what I did over the weekend, I squint and ask, "Why, what did you hear?"
16. When you do squats, are your knees supposed to sound like a goat chewing on an aluminum can stuffed with celery?
17. I don't mean to interrupt people. I just randomly remember things and get really excited.
18. When I ask for directions, please don't use words like "east."
19. Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Spend 30 seconds in my head. That'll freak you right out.
20. Sometimes, someone unexpected comes into your life out of nowhere, makes your heart race, and changes you forever. We call those people cops.
21. My luck is like a bald guy who just won a comb.
