Role: Afterhours Logistics Coordinator

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 2:00pm to 10:00pm EST

Responsibilities:

- Tracking and tracing shipments within North America

- Updating notes in our TMS

- Customer Updates

- Building and booking shipments

- Sourcing rates from our network of carriers

- Overseeing the customs clearance process

Desired Experience:

2 - 5 years

2025 was a big year, and 2026 is going to be even better! The Afterhours Logistics Coordinator will play a big role in ensuring that our customer service remains unbeaten, while maintaining strong carrier relations.

A 90-day tariff truce sounds like a break, but it might be the busiest quarter yet for smart supply chain leaders.

The U.S. and China just hit “pause” on escalating tariffs, temporarily dropping duties on some goods from ~34% to ~10%. It’s a short window that opens the door for strategic advantage, but also demands fast action.

This isn't just relief. It’s an opportunity.

Here’s what we’re advising and evaluating:

✅ Front-loading key imports while rates are lower
✅ Scenario-modeling inventory if tariffs snap back
✅ Exploring secondary supplier bases beyond current trade risks
✅ Aligning finance and operations for just-in-case procurement flexibility

This week, Canada's First Ministers made a pivotal commitment to expand the interprovincial trucking pilot launched in 2024, aimed squarely at removing costly internal trade barriers within the supply chain.

Why it matters:

🚛 Oversize/overweight permits will be streamlined
🏗️ Nation-building infrastructure projects will face fewer logistics delays
📉 Administrative red tape across provincial lines will be reduced

🇨🇦 Strong political will is finally aligning with economic necessity

As a proud Canadian company, we see this as a long-overdue shift toward a more unified and productive domestic logistics framework. The trucking industry moves the critical materials that build our future. Now, with less bureaucratic friction, we can build faster—and smarter.
