A little timelapse from our recent 5th wheel transport for Denny Pacific Transport!

Denny Pacific Transport sent this customer our way while they were heading back to Alberta. The customer had recently purchased this 5th wheel and needed it picked up in Sooke and delivered safely to Gabriola Island.

We got hooked up, made our way to the ferry, and completed the delivery without a hitch. Another smooth trip and another happy customer! 🤝

Another successful 5th wheel move in the books! 🚛💨

Denny’s Pacific Transport gave us a call yesterday to let us know they were sending a customer our way while they make their way back to Alberta.

The customer had recently purchased a 5th wheel in Sooke and needed it transported over to Gabriola Island. We got hooked up, headed for the ferry, and made our way over to the island. Both the pickup and drop-off went smoothly, and another trailer made it safely to its new home! 🏕️

We’re always happy to work alongside Denny’s Pacific Transport to make sure customers are taken care of, even when one of us is out of town. Teamwork keeps the wheels turning!

🚛 AUGUST HAULS RECAP! 💪

August was one for the books at South Island Hauling! From RVs and trailers to equipment, freight, junk removal and everything in between, our trucks stayed busy putting in the kilometres across Vancouver Island and beyond.

A huge thank you to every customer who trusted us with their haul this month, as well as our partners who continue to work alongside us. Every call, referral, share and recommendation helps keep these trucks moving!

August also brought some exciting growth with Unit 11 joining the fleet, giving us even more ability to keep up with demand and get the job done when our customers need us.

🚛 Another last-minute call and another adventure for Unit 24! 🏕️

Denny Pacific Transport gave us a call just 4 hours before this tow needed to happen to see if we could step in and help. They were stuck in Nanaimo in some extreme traffic with no known ETA, and of course, we said yes!

The customer had just purchased a new-to-them 2019 Reflection 5th wheel from Travelland RV in Duncan and needed it transported to their property on Gabriola Island.

We finished up our current delivery and hit the road to Travelland RV to pick up the customer’s new trailer. From there, we got hooked up and headed for the ferry. The hookup and transport went smoothly, but once we arrived at the customer’s property, we quickly realized the driveway was going to pose a challenge.

We gave it our best shot, but sometimes knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing how to get the job done. There was simply no safe way to get the RV into the customer’s desired location without risking significant damage to Unit 24 or their new trailer. We made the call to leave it safely roadside until the customer could arrange for a machine to position it properly. The customer completely understood and had no complaints. Protecting our equipment and, more importantly, our customer’s property will always come before forcing something that simply isn’t safe.

But the day wasn’t over yet! We also moved the customer’s old trailer from their property to a family member’s property. That drop was another tight one, but after a couple of unhooks, some repositioning, and a very close introduction between Unit 24 and the back window 😅, we got the trailer into place. Thankfully, no damage!

Not every job goes exactly according to plan, especially when you’re working with tight properties and large trailers. We adapt, find the safest solution, and do everything we can to get the job done.

🚛 Unit 11 putting in the hard work again! 💪

Our friends over at Denny Pacific Transport reached out and asked if we could take care of a quick trailer move from Duncan to the Mill Bay/Malahat area for one of their customers. As always, we were happy to help!

We promptly sent Unit 11 out to get the job done. The trailer was picked up from the customer’s residence in Duncan and safely transported to their campground on the Malahat, all completed in a timely and professional manner.

Unit 11 hasn’t been in the fleet for long, but it’s already staying busy and proving to be a great addition to South Island Hauling!

We’re proud to continue working alongside Denny Pacific Transport to make sure customers are taken care of, even when schedules get busy. Teamwork keeps the wheels turning! 🤝

🐴 Another happy customer and another trailer safely home! 🚛

A customer reached out to us a few weeks ago about transporting their new-to-them horse trailer from Duncan to Brentwood. The trailer was originally supposed to be brought from Coombs to Duncan by another hauler, but unfortunately they were unable to complete the job.

Rather than leave the customer scrambling, we worked with them to arrange the entire transport from Coombs all the way to Brentwood. We got a date set, made the trip up to Coombs, got everything hooked up and secured, and hit the road!

The job went smoothly from start to finish, and the customer was beyond happy to finally have their new trailer home. They couldn’t wait to start putting it to use! 🐎

Plans change, things happen, and sometimes another transporter can’t complete the job. That’s where South Island Hauling comes in. We’ll do everything we can to find a solution and get the job done safely and professionally.

🚛 Kamloops ➡️ Likely, BC! 🏔️

A customer reached out to us about transporting their new-to-them park model RV, which had been converted into a kitchen, from Kamloops to Likely, BC.

When we first got the call, we’ll admit it… we had no idea Likely was actually a town! 😂 But we quickly found out, and man, were we in for an adventure!

Pickup went smoothly, we got everything hooked up and secured, and then hit the road for the roughly 4-hour drive from Kamloops to Likely. The park model made it safely to its new home, and with the job complete, we took our time on the drive back and made a few sightseeing stops along the way. When work takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of BC, you might as well enjoy the view!

Another successful long-distance haul in the books. 💪
