BTE Transport Group Ltd in Listowel, Ontario requires 2 Professional Drivers to add to their fleet immediately.

1 Highway Driver to run dedicated 2 day rounders to the USA required immediately.

1 Local Driver, home every night, some cross border work into Port Huron, Michigan or Buffalo NY will be required.

Both of these drivers MUST be eligible to cross into the USA.

The Highway position is paid by mile rate, stops and wait time after 1 hour paid. This position also holds a per mile safety bonus that is paid out monthly. Benefits include typical drug coverage, dental, healthcare spending plan and vision care. Position is available immediately. Benefits also include safety boot allowance after the first year, uniform allowance twice a year, Cell Phone allowance, as well as out of country insurance paid from day 1.

The Local position is paid per hour from start of day, to end of day. This position holds a lump sum safety bonus that is paid out Monthly. Benefits include typical drug coverage, dental, healthcare spending plan and vision care. Position is available immediately. BTE Transport Group Ltd is looking for its next professional driver to add to their fleet. Current projections are showing that there will be an influx of work come January 2022, and we are looking to expand our operations to be able to serve our great customers properly.

BTE Transport Group Ltd is located in Listowel, Ontario and have been in operation for over 20 years. Our Dispatcher has over 30 years of over the road experience, and understands the "in's and out's" of this business. The rest of your operations team has been in the industry for well over 20 years, and are prepared to give you the tools to make each and every run successful. From our "one of a kind" maintenance program, to a fully paid orientation program that teaches and revitalizes the professional drivers mind, we work very hard to ensure that you are prepared properly before you ever turn a wheel!

We specialize in customer service, as well as pay very close attention to what a driver requires to be successful. Most of our runs are comprised of 2 day rounders that get you home as much as every other night. There may be the requirement to be out longer on one of our longer runs. The specific driver I am looking to recruit will be diverse, and able to go to multiple locations within the USA however will eventually become dedicated to a customer. BTE Transport Group Ltd does this not only for ease of operations, but so that the driver can have a life outside of work, and be able to plan things for home time effectively.

Currently we are recruiting for the truck below. It is a 2013 Peterbilt 384 that is professionally cleaned, and has all the amenities that you will need to complete your job including a CB radio, Bunk heater and Fridge. This truck is a manual transmission truck with a 13 speed Allison in it. This truck also has an upgraded seat to allow better driver comfort. BTE Transport Group Ltd is looking to expand its operations so new trucks will be arriving. Once they do, you will be given the option to cycle out of this truck into a newer unit.

The job requires a driver to be on the ready for dispatch as any other trucking job at other companies do. Possible Sunday starts, and possible Saturday returns, however these are communicated through our dispatch department with ample time to adjust to it.

Information continues to emerge about the January 15, 2022 mandate for cross border drivers. Here is some more information as to what we may see as required come that date.
Please keep in mind in this fluid situation that we are just trying to inform people of what is coming.

Travelling to Canada and fully vaccinated? Your COVID-19 proof of vaccination needs more than just a QR code. It must show any 1st and 2nd dose you received.

It must also show in text:
• your name
• the name of the government or organization who administered the vaccine(s)
• the brand name or any other information that identifies the vaccine(s)
• the date(s) you received the vaccine(s).

Your proof must be in English, French or a certified translation into English or French. You must bring a digital or paper copy of your proof with you.

Make sure you enter your proof of vaccination, quarantine and travel information into within 72 hours before your arrival.

To all BTE Transport Group Ltd employees and Friends:

On November 29, 2021, mid afternoon, Dean Fischer, a 21-year veteran of BTE Transport Group Ltd succumbed to his battle against cancer at home surrounded by family.

For anyone who knew Dean, they know he was a very caring and knowledgeable man that absolutely adored his family. Dean started his career with BTE Transport Group Ltd on October 1, 2000 and was truly “a company man” from day 1. Dean eventually took on extra responsibility by preforming road tests with new drivers, and he was always available to give directions and help. He was the go-to for most of the drivers in the fleet throughout his 21 years here, often taking concerns into management when he was alerted of them.
On November 22, 2020, it was discovered that Dean had a high-grade glioblastoma brain tumor. On February 24, 2021, his wife of 27 years, Jo-Ann, posted that Dean had finished 30 Radiation and Chemotherapy treatments and rang the bell in London! 3 months later the family was informed that unfortunately the chemo hadn’t made progress with the tumor. Even after all of this, Dean continued to fight.

On November 11, 2021, Dean turned 54 years old. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

This driver would be required to leave on Sundays as the customer requires, and may be gone all week, or home every other night.
