Project Update – Alberta to Texas!

A little over a week ago, we announced a major transport project involving 6 power-only dump trailers and 5 semi trucks heading from Nisku, Alberta down to Nederland, Texas.

We're now on the final stretch!

✅ 4 trailers delivered
🚛 1 trailer scheduled to arrive tonight
🚛 1 trailer scheduled to arrive tomorrow

On the truck side, things are moving right along as well:

✅ 3 semi trucks loaded and on the move south
🚛 1 truck loaded earlier today
🚛 Final truck pickup expected later this week

Projects of this size always involve a lot of moving parts, coordination, inspections, paperwork, and scheduling. Seeing everything come together and roll toward the finish line is what makes all the planning worthwhile.

A big thank you to our carriers, partners, and client for working together to keep this project moving smoothly. We're looking forward to sharing the final completion update once the last units arrive in Texas.

Another shipment on the move for a growing new customer!

This is our second shipment for them, with many more to come.

This unit was loaded in Eastern Ontario and is now heading out to Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

Nothing over-complicated or flashy on this one — just solid, straightforward freight supporting equipment moving into the Canadian market and out to where it’s needed for upcoming projects.

Another repeat customer on the move again!

This time they picked up a Ford F-350 equipped with a fiberglass cap at the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, and it’s now heading west to St. Marys, Ontario.

A solid addition for their paving operation — and with the cap on the truck, they’ll be able to keep tools and equipment dry and secure no matter what the job site throws at them.

Always great to see repeat clients continuing to grow their fleet and trust us to keep things moving between provinces.

Project Update: Alberta to Texas

One of our larger projects of the year continues to make great progress!

This move involves 6 power-only dump trailers and 5 semi trucks relocating from Nisku, Alberta down to Nederland, Texas, and the units are now steadily making their way south.

Current status:

✅ Trailers 1, 2, and 3 have been delivered
🚛 Trailer 4 is delivering today
📅 Trailers 5 and 6 are scheduled to leave on Friday

On the truck side:

🚚 Truck 1 is loaded and en route to Texas
🚚 Trucks 2 and 3 are scheduled to load later this week
🚚 Truck 4 is tentatively scheduled for Monday
🚚 Truck 5 is expected to load sometime next week

Projects like this are a great reminder that transportation is rarely just about loading and unloading. Behind every move is a combination of inspections, scheduling, customs requirements, logistics planning, and a lot of communication to keep everything moving in the right direction.

A few weeks ago, these units were sitting in Alberta. Today, multiple trailers have already arrived in Texas, more are on the road, and the truck portion of the project is now fully underway.

We're looking forward to seeing this one through to the finish line and will continue sharing updates as more Alberta iron makes its way south.

Another new client on board, and another piece of specialized equipment on the move!

This time we're hauling a Vermeer RTX1250 cable plow, loaded up at the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Amaranth, Ontario, and now heading west to Armstrong, British Columbia.

This machine is destined for a railroad contractor that specializes in signal installation, maintenance, and repair work. Equipment like this plays an important role in helping crews install underground cable and infrastructure efficiently, keeping rail systems operating safely and reliably.

It's always interesting to see the variety of industries we get to work with. One day it's construction equipment, the next it's agricultural machinery, and then it's specialized equipment supporting Canada's rail network.

From Ontario to British Columbia, this Vermeer has a long trip ahead of it, and we're proud to be helping another new client get the equipment they need where they need it.

Project Update: Alberta to Texas

Last week, we announced one of our larger ongoing moves — a coordinated shipment from Nisku, Alberta to Nederland, Texas involving 6 power-only dump trailers and 5 semi trucks.

Here’s where things stand so far:

• 2 trailers delivered yesterday
• 1 more delivering today
• Another scheduled for delivery tomorrow

The remaining trailers are currently moving through inspections and final prep before heading south. A couple of them have been parked for a few years, so they’re getting a full inspection before getting back on the road. Hopefully no major repairs are required - to be determined!

On the truck side, we’ve got a driver loading today, and we’re working through the logistics to see if we can safely fit two units on one trailer while staying within legal dimensions. If not, we’ll keep them moving one at a time and stay on schedule.

Big projects like this are never just about point A to point B — they’re about coordination, timing, inspections, and keeping everything moving smoothly across multiple stages and locations.

We’ll keep sharing updates as the rest of the units make their way down to Texas.

Another shipment on the move for a repeat client!

Guess they needed a little more digging power for the fleet, so we loaded up a pair of 2023 Takeuchi TB20E Electric Mini Excavators at the Ritchie Bros. auction site in Phoenix, Arizona, and they're now heading north to Surrey, British Columbia.

These aren't your typical mini excavators either. Being fully electric, they're part of a growing trend toward quieter, lower-emission equipment for job sites where noise and environmental considerations matter.

Of course, whether it's diesel, electric, brand new, or decades old, the transportation requirements remain the same — safe handling, strong communication, and reliable delivery from pickup to destination.

We appreciate the continued trust from our repeat clients and look forward to getting these machines delivered and ready to get to work.

One of our larger projects of the season is officially underway!

Over the next couple of weeks, Great Lakes Logistics Transport Inc. will be coordinating the movement of 11 commercial units from the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Nisku, Alberta, down to Nederland, Texas.

This project includes:
• 6 power-only dump trailer relocations
• 5 semi trucks

Projects like this don't happen by accident. From scheduling and carrier coordination to customs paperwork and delivery planning, there are a lot of moving pieces that need to come together to keep everything running smoothly.

We're excited to get this project underway and look forward to sharing updates as these units begin making their way south.
