Mr. Singh remained in immigration detention on the grounds of being a danger to the public and flight risk. The CBSA removed him from Canada under es**rt on January 19, 2026.

Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 24-year-old Amarbir Singh, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Navdeep Kaur.

Kaur, 28, disappeared in early 2024, and her remains were later found in the Fraser River in July 2024. Investigators say the two were in a relationship at the time of her disappearance.

According to IHIT, Singh is believed to have fled to India in late 2024 after being interviewed by investigators. Authorities say bringing him back to Canada could take time, as the extradition process is often lengthy.

🚨Police continue to seek answers and justice in the case.

| Waterloo Regional Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Harsharan Ahluwalia, 34, from Kitchener, who is wanted in connection with an ongoing immigration fraud investigation. Between May 2024 and July 2025, a victim paid him for legal services to assist with a work visa application, but no application was ever submitted. Police believe Ahluwalia is not a registered lawyer and may be linked to two other immigration fraud cases in Kitchener.

He is wanted on an outstanding warrant for three counts of fraud under $5,000 and three counts of passing off. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
