BLAST is looking for one more SVOP skipper for the Q to Q Ferries in New Westminster. The shifts available are Sunday to Wednesday. Approximately 30 hours per week. 1500-2000 on Sunday and 1200-2000 Monday to Wednesday. Job is available immediately. Please email resume to [email protected]

BLAST is looking to put some equipment back to work to add to the work we already have. We are starting preliminary discussions. We have some ideas and proposals already, but we are willing to listen to feasible ideas, new routes, that can help people travel by water or even utilize our vehicles. Needs to be local to BC waterways. We have watertaxis available from 6 passenger to 50 passenger.

Faces Behind the Masks

Sara was one of the first hires when the ferry started service in 2018 and she's so happy to be back on deck! She started as a deck host and worked her way up being a skipper.
Growing up she never thought of sailing the high seas, however now that she's had a taste of marine life, she can't see herself doing anything else.

"I really like the feeling of community working on the ferry. It's like we're all one big, happy family."
