"Art Truc Troc" jouit d’un concept unique et original. Lors de l’exposition, le visiteur est invité à troquer objet, service, matériau, voyage ou tout autre proposition issue de son imagination et susceptible de convenir à l’artiste, contre une œuvre d’art et sa valeur pressentie. Il n’est donc pas question ici d’argent mais uniqu
ement d’échanges inédits et insolites! Le visiteur, une fois séduit par une œuvre, proposera son troc ainsi que ses coordonnées sur un post-it qu’il placera à côté de celle-ci. L’artiste présent sur place aura le libre-arbitre de le contacter ou non afin de négocier ou confirmer l’échange, soit sur le moment même soit ultérieurement. Le premier Truc Troc a été inauguré en 1975 par les artistes Mon de Rijck et Charline Mahy au Château Malou à Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. "Art Truc Troc" is een uniek en buitengewoon concept. Tijdens de tentoonstelling kan de bezoeker een voorwerp, dienst, materiaal, reis of eender welk volwaardig voorstel inruilen tegen een kunstwerk, rekeninghoudend met zijn waarde natuurlijk. Het gaat hier enkel om een originele en ongewone ruil. De bezoeker, die zijn oog op een kunstvoorwerp heeft laten vallen, zal een post-it ernaast leggen met daarop zijn gegevens én zijn ruilvoorstel. De ter plaatse aanwezige kunstenaar beslist dan zelf of hij aan de ruil meedoet of niet, of hij de bezoeker wenst te ontmoeten of niet, dit op het moment zelf of achteraf. De allereerste Truc Troc werd in 1975 opgesteld door de kunstenaars Mon de Rijck en Charline Mahy in het Kasteel Malou te Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. The "Art Truc Troc" event has a unique and original concept. At the exhibition the visitor can trade anything he wishes for a piece of art at its estimated value: an object, service, material, trip, … that might interest the artist. No money is involved, only unexpected and unique exchanges. The visitor that has been seduced by a piece of art can propose his swap and leave his name and phone number on a post-it that he leaves next to the piece he likes. The artist, present on the premises, will decide wheather he wants to call him back, negociate a bit more or confirm the swap, on that same day or on another. Mon de Rijck and Charline Mahy inaugurated in 1975 the first ‘Truc Troc’ in the Castle Malou at Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. This year, this atypical event is recreated at the Gare Maritime of Tour & Taxis.
