Transport Compliance Officer

Part time 30 hours per week. May lead to full time employment with the growth of company.

Morgans Long Distance Transport are a family owed business who specialise in General Freight Transport along the East Coast of Australia. We have been operating for 20 years on the Sunshine Coast.

This position supports the effective operation of company compliance, fatigue management, and fleet management systems.

Duties and Responsibilities: (but not limited to)

Enter driver work diary pages into the fatigue management system to monitor compliance with legislated work and rest hours.

Assist with fatigue requirements and company fatigue procedures

Assist with maintaining company compliance registers (eg licences, inductions, training, medicals, permits).

Support preparation of audit documentation for NHVAS and internal compliance checks.

Maintain electronic compliance records and ensure they are up to date and easily retrievable.

Assist with data entry and follow-up for incident reporting, corrective actions and safety forms.

NHVR Maintenance data entry & printing of service sheets.

Ordering of fuel cards, ETAGS, providing advice on transport regulations.

Key Skills & Attributes:

Meticulous when it comes to entering data and keeping records accurate.

Knowledge of transportation regulations is preferred but not required (training will be offered).

Capable of managing priorities and meeting multiple deadlines.

Excellent communicator, comfortable working with drivers, the workshop team, and suppliers.

Skilled in Microsoft Office; familiarity with fleet or compliance systems is a plus.

Can be trusted to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Self-motivated, well organised, and effective working solo or as part of a team.
