🎨 There’s signwriting… and then there’s craftsmanship 🎨

A huge shoutout to Keith from Metrographic Signs for signwriting these Mineral Resources containers for us.

Watching this come together the old-school way — tape lines, brush strokes, and years of experience — was seriously impressive.

In a world dominated by digital printing and vinyl, there’s something special about seeing traditional signwriting skills still being used to produce a clean, bold result that will stand the test of time in tough WA conditions.

The finished containers came up unreal and are now ready to head out representing the Mineral Resources brand on site.

We loved bringing this one to life — a custom container playground built for the incredible team at LD Total as part of the North Coogee Container Park project.

Transforming shipping containers into an interactive play space complete with climbing elements, elevated structures, tunnels, slides and endless imagination proves that containers can be so much more than storage.

Projects like this showcase the versatility of container modifications and what’s possible when innovative design meets quality craftsmanship.

🔧 Modifications Monday - 40ft Site Shower & Laundry 🔧

Currently under construction at our Wattleup facility, this custom shower and laundry container was designed to deliver comfort, convenience and reliability where it matters most.

Built for the harsh conditions of remote Australia, it features multiple shower bays, integrated laundry facilities, hot water systems, air-conditioning and a practical layout designed for high-use environments — this unit gives site crews a clean and functional space to reset after a hard day on site.

At Total Containers, our modifications team can transform standard shipping containers into fully customised site solutions built around your operational requirements — from mine sites and construction projects to camps and remote facilities.

🏆 Throwback to Total Containers inaugural victory at the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Golf Day in 2024 🏆

After going back-to-back with a second win in 2025 (swipe right), the team are back out on course today with one goal in mind — chasing a historic three-peat!

Pictured here is the moment our MD, Kevin Cooper was presented with the trophy by Sue Hassey, CEO of RKCC — fantastic recognition and a great reminder of what makes this event so special: strong competition, quality networking and representing the Total Containers team both on and off the course.

🔧What We Do Wednesday🔧

Look at the amazing Patina on this sandblasted Shipping Container!

Shipping containers are made from Corten steel — a tough type of steel built to handle life at sea. Instead of rusting away like normal steel, Corten forms a protective outer layer when exposed to rain, salt air, and harsh weather. That layer actually helps slow down further corrosion and keeps the container stronger for longer.

Containers go through a lot during their lifetime — loaded onto ships, stacked in ports, moved by trucks and trains, and exposed to all kinds of weather around the world. Using Corten steel means they can handle those conditions with less maintenance and a much longer lifespan.



It’s also incredibly strong, which is why containers can safely be stacked several levels high on cargo ships without losing structural integrity.

That mix of strength, durability, and weather resistance is why Corten steel became the global standard in shipping containers — and why containers are still so useful long after their shipping life ends, and might I add, its looks amazing when weathered!
