Unfortunately due to the rain and approaching storms, I was not able to paint the wing and rudder this weekend which is a bummer, however i was pushing myself to achieve this… I did manage to sand all the primer on both sides of the wing, vacuum and mop all the paint dust from the booth in preparation for paying gloss colour. Whilst doing so, I also realised I had to order more disposable paint gun cups or I would’ve ran out about half way through the job….the polyurethane paint is what they call water born, so it requires a specific humidity so the moisture can evaporate from the paint when drying - and if not, the gloss won’t be achieved and bubbles - other defects appear. So anything above 75% humidity is a big no no and today’s forecast was min 90%

A solid days work and I managed to sand the grey and paint the white primer on both sides. Terrible stuff as this is a high build product so great to hide imperfections and sand down later; however this drops particles everywhere so suiting and masking up is critical.

That’s 3 coats painted on the top side which I’ll let dry overnight before I sand as I’m tired

Sanding sanding sanding then tack rag wipe before o spray the last coat - rinse and repeat for the other side
