Our recent Staff Family Day was a fantastic reminder of the value of bringing our people together.

From the kids’ activities and on-field moments to great food and a strong turnout, it was an opportunity to connect, relax and enjoy time outside of the workplace.

It was especially rewarding to see families sharing the experience together. For many, it was their first live footy game, making the day even more memorable.

A big thank you to everyone who helped bring the day to life and to all who attended. Events like this highlight the strength of our community and the importance of creating moments that bring people together.

GreenRoad Fleet Elite recognises drivers who consistently demonstrate the highest standards of safe driving over time, earning new levels for each year of strong performance. This year, we were proud to award our drivers across the network with this recognition, celebrating their commitment to safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.

These achievements are backed by incredibly strong depot-wide performance, with millions of kilometres driven safely, improving GreenRoad scores, and a shared commitment to safer journeys for our passengers and community.

Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and our ongoing investment in programs like GreenRoad ensures we continue to raise the bar.

A shout out to our Mildura team for their continued commitment to community engagement and safety.
Our Mildura's Depot Manager, Luke Charles delivered a 90-minute session at SuniTAFE Mildura, helping students better understand bus safety and how to confidently navigate services across the Sunraysia region.

With strong engagement and hands-on demonstrations from bike racks to accessibility features, the session brought public transport to life.

A great example of supporting safer journeys and stronger community connections.

We are proud to support the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and its Youth Leadership Project. Last month, more than 50 young people from 23 different schools came together for the program’s annual camp. We helped by providing buses from Melbourne and Ballarat to transport students safely to the campsite.

The camp set the foundation for the year ahead by connecting young leaders as they begin their development journey. Through the Youth Leadership Project, participants build confidence and develop real‑world leadership skills by designing and delivering their own community impact project.

We are proud to play a role in supporting young people as they grow, learn and contribute to their communities.

Our team recently supported the wider CDC Australia team, which included more than 100 drivers from across the country, to help deliver the Brisbane Rail Replacement contract.

A group of drivers and supervisors from several CDC Victoria depots travelled to Brisbane to assist while Queensland Rail carried out scheduled maintenance across parts of the South East Queensland rail network. During these works, buses replace trains on affected lines to keep passengers moving safely and reliably. These particular works formed part of a broader upgrade program preparing the Brisbane rail network for the 2032 Olympic Games.

Before travelling, all participating drivers completed the required online training modules, followed by face‑to‑face induction sessions and route orientation to ensure they were fully prepared.

We are proud of our team for their professionalism and for representing CDC Victoria while supporting our colleagues in Queensland.

We are currently installing new ramps across our depots as part of our ongoing investment in safer and more comfortable workshop equipment. The updated ramps are already providing noticeable improvements in ergonomics and working conditions for our mechanics.

These new ramps are built higher at the end, which allows the team to stand upright beneath the bus. This also improves visibility when checking for potential oil leaks and when cleaning the undercarriage with a high‑pressure cleaner.

This upgrade reflects our commitment to continually improving safety, comfort and efficiency for our team while keeping our buses in top condition for our passengers.

As we approach ANZAC Day, we are proud to introduce special commemorative “Anzac Spirit” buses that pay tribute to Australians who currently serve and to all who have served in the Australian Defence Forces.

We have three “Anzac Spirit” buses that will be travelling across Victoria. Each bus features a custom wrap design that includes silhouettes of Australian service members, fields of poppies, a rising Australian sun and the words “Lest We Forget” displayed.

Our Ballarat depot will operate one of these buses. Ballarat is home to several major ANZAC Day ceremonies in Ballarat Central, Buninyong, Creswick and Sebastopol, and our services move through these communities every day.

Our Oakleigh depot will operate one bus on a route that connects directly with the Shrine of Remembrance.

Our Airport West depot will operate one bus that will support the free ANZAC Day shuttle service to the Shrine of Remembrance.

These commemorative buses reflect our commitment to honouring the ANZAC legacy and supporting the communities we serve. We are humbled to help Victorians come together to remember.
