Due to the current widespread Parvo outbreak in the community, we have reluctantly decided that until further notice, Tenterfield Taxis will NOT be allowing for the transportation of animals in the Taxi. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused by this but we believe that the risks far outweigh the benefits under the current circumstance.
Parvo is a highly contagious and transmissible virus and we believe that this is a step the we need to take to help prevent further transmission of the virus.
We truly hope you understand that this is a decision that has not been made lightly!

Due to the widespread Parvo outbreak in the community please do not let your dog that is unvaccinated or not completely up to date with vaccinations out of your vehicle when visiting the clinic. We ask that you alert reception staff of your arrival and remain in your vehicle with your dog or carry your dog in your arms. Do not allow your dog onto the grass areas, carpark, stairs or floor of the clinic.
If your dog is showing symptoms of Parvo like diarrhoea, vomiting, loss of appetite or lethargy please leave your dog in the car and alert staff of your arrival.
If your dog is positive for Parvo it is imperative that you soak and wash your clothing, dispose of or wash all of your pet's bedding, sterilise water and feed bowls and disinfect all areas of your home both hard and soft surfaces, disinfect footwear and disinfect wheels and surfaces of vehicles that your dog has come in contact with. Please be mindful of visitors to your home if you have young puppies or unvaccinated dogs. This virus is very contagious.
