Cumberland City Council's Pippita Rail Trail Masterplan appears to lack detail in capacity for Pippita Railway Station to be rebuilt. This is despite the Council voting to look into the feasibility of the Pippita CityExpress train (which would be Lidcombe - Pippita - Olympic Park - Pippita - Strathfield - Redfern - Central in approximately 19 minutes). Rebuilding Pippita Station would significantly reduce overcrowding at Lidcombe Station with northern side commuters having Pippita instead of Lidcombe for a express train to Central.

Submissions for Pippita Rail Trail close on 10 March: https://haveyoursay.cumberland.nsw.gov.au/pippita-rail-trail-masterplan
