WE’RE HIRING – HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC

Patlin Heavy Haulage is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our growing workshop team!
Work on a modern, late-model fleet of Kenworth trucks, Drake trailers, and a wide range of specialised heavy haulage equipment.

YOUR ROLE

✔ Servicing our modern fleet of trucks and low loaders
✔ Carrying out major and minor repairs
✔ Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
✔ Completing work efficiently and to a high standard
✔ Performing inspections, assessments, and required documentation

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you’ll have:
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (essential)
• HC Licence (advantageous)
• Experience with Kenworth trucks (advantageous)
• Experience with Cummins engines (advantageous)
• Strong ability to work independently and think outside the box
• Positive attitude and great teamwork skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical & D&A screen
• Forklift licence (advantageous)

Let's address the elephant in the room, shall we? 🐘

We are delighted to have had the opportunity to transport two magnificent elephants, Tang Mo and Pak Boon, from Sydney's Taronga Zoo to Monarto Safari Park in SA. Following months of meticulous planning and collaboration, we successfully relocated the elephants from NSW to their new home in SA over a massive 24hrs.

👉 Positions Available: HR Tilt Tray Driver >> HC Low Loader Driver >> Yard Person

1️⃣ HR Tilt Tray Driver:
Drive and operate HR tilt tray
Transport a variety of heavy equipment
Maintain a clean driving record
Experience with earthmoving machinery an advantage
Ability to work as part of a team
Can be based in Somerton, Geelong or Dandenong

2️⃣ HC Low Loader Driver:
HC license
Road ranger experience
Transport a variety of heavy equipment
Experience with earthmoving machines an advantage
Ability to work as part of a team
Adhere to loading and unloading protocols
Can be based in Somerton, Geelong or Dandenong

3️⃣ Yard Person:
Assist with general yard duties
Organize equipment and supplies
Support the operational team as needed
Support workshop team as needed
Washing and detailing trucks and trailers as required
Based in Somerton Vic
