Well, wasn't that fun!?

Today marks 20 years of opening our freight receivals yard in Kewdale.

Today also marks my last day of the day to day
operations of the facility. It's now time to begin, what I reckon, is a well deserved semi retirement.

To everyone that has come & gone, been a part of the team and the current team, a huge heartfelt thankyou for the support that has made the yard what it is, with a reputation across Australia that we can all be proud of.
Through the highs and lows, a couple of global financial crisis and a pandemic we continued to rise above the adversity and come out the otherside, still ticking along.

I wish Geraldton Transport all best going forward and look forward to seeing joint continue to do what it does best.

Also, a huge thankyou to all the customers and carriers that have been there since before the beginning and those who have joined along the way, we couldn't of done it without you. 🙏🙏🙏

As we will now be focusing on our side hustle, hotshots, I hope we catch up along the way and have a drink or three.

• Valid HR Licence
• Valid Forklift Licence

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following;
• Performing daily vehicle pre-start checks
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and experienced Fleet Controller to join our close-knit team at BW James Transport. No two days are ever the same which means we require someone with a can-do attitude who likes variety in their working day!

Key Responsibilities:
• Scheduling and tasking of fleet
• Preparation and administration of pickup and drop off paperwork (connotes/pickup advice etc)
• Daily communication with customers and carriers alike regarding pickups/deliveries
• Ensuring that fleet drivers are meeting internal and customer expectations.
• Providing excellent customer service
• Manage driver’s daily run sheets/paperwork.
• Daily communication with Managing Director and other office staff to allow all departments to work cohesively.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience in the logistics industry
• Previous experience in fleet management/control
• Outstanding numeracy, written and verbal communications skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent computer skills
• High attention to detail and a keen eye for error
• Adaptable and flexible approach to work
• Professional and motivated work ethic
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications specifically with Excel
• Ability to communicate/collaborate with drivers, clients, and colleagues.
