KAC’s out there haul’n poles,
Concrete giants, and timber poles,
Road train rattlin’ down the track,
With enough weight to break your back.

Blokes in hi-vis, mugs of tea,
“Renewables are cheap!” they plea,
Yet every bill comes through the door,
And somehow costs a bloody fortune more.

Windmills spin when there’s a breeze,
Solar works on sunny degrees,
But when the rain and darkness hit,
The whole damn grid throws a fit.

Meanwhile down in Melbourne town,
The taxman’s trousers keep fallin’ down,
Pollies promise “green and clean,”
While lining pockets in between.

KAC just keeps the freight rolling, mate,
Dodging potholes and overweight,
Haulin’ poles for Energy Vic,
While taxpayers cop the bloody trick.
“Save the planet!” the adverts shout,
As another new tax gets rolled right out,

And old mate just scratched his head,
“Can’t charge the ute if the power’s dead!”
Still the CAT engine growls with pride,
Twenty tonnes on the winch outside,
Because when the politicians fail,
It’s Aussie truckies who keep the rails.
