Recently, one of our drivers at Orange Taxis was attacked and assaulted while simply doing their job.
It’s a confronting reminder that taxi drivers put themselves on the front line every day to provide an essential service to our community. They work long hours, often late at night, helping people get home safely, attend medical appointments, travel to work, connect with family, and participate in daily life.
No one should face violence for providing a community service.
Taxi drivers are not just transport providers, they are part of the social fabric of our towns and cities. They are there in emergencies, during public holidays, in difficult weather, and at all hours when other services are unavailable.
At Orange Taxis, the safety and wellbeing of our drivers is paramount. We strongly believe every driver deserves a safe working environment, free from abuse, aggression, or violence.
We stand with our driver and with all drivers who continue to serve the community with professionalism and resilience. Let’s remember to treat those who serve us with respect.
To all professional drivers please stay safe, look out for one another, and never hesitate to report unsafe behaviour.
Drive Safe & Stay Safe Everyone.
