☕💙 Friday Coffee Club at Wenty Leagues!

Our clients enjoyed a lovely Friday outing at Wenty Leagues today! 😊 Whether it was coffee and a chat or an early lunch, everyone could choose their favourite way to enjoy the morning.

Good food, friendly faces and wonderful company made it another enjoyable Coffee Club gathering. Because sometimes, the best part of going out is simply spending time together! 🥰

🌿 After our mediation session, we enjoyed a little nutrition session with Christina from Step2Life! 💚

Christina was lovely and shared some great insights into the vitamins and minerals our bodies need, and how we can get them naturally through the foods we eat. 🥦🍎🥑

A big thank you to Christina for sharing her knowledge with us! 😊

Would you be interested in having another session with her? Let us know in the comments! 💬✨

💻✨ Get Online Week at Community Wheels!

Get Online Week (20–26 October) events are happening all across Australia, and we were delighted to be part of this wonderful initiative! 🎉

On 21 October, we hosted “Curious About AI? A Fun Learning Session!” in Winston Hills, bringing our seniors together to learn, explore and have fun.

A big thank you to the Good Things Foundation Australia for the Get Online Week grant, which helped us deliver this session and provide free door-to-door transport for our participants. 💙🚌

With the help of our wonderful facilitators, our seniors explored AI-generated images, learned how to recognise scams, and discovered how to use the Be Connected website for ongoing digital learning.

There was plenty of fun along the way, too, with quiz games, exciting prizes, delicious morning tea and a light lunch that everyone loved! ☕🍰🎁

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing facilitators and everyone who joined us. It was wonderful to see our seniors learning new skills, sharing laughter and building confidence in the digital world.

💬 Would you like us to run another session like this? Let us know in the comments!

🌟 A Proud Moment for Community Wheels!🌟

We are delighted to share that Community Wheels’ achievements have been officially recognised through a Community Recognition Statement in the NSW Parliament!🎉

To celebrate this wonderful milestone, we were honoured to attend an afternoon tea at NSW Parliament today where we received certificates alongside other Community Recognition Statement recipients.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated staff and clients who contributed to our book, *‘Connecting Generations: Stories from the Heart of Parramatta’*. ❤️📖 Your stories, participation and enthusiasm helped bring generations together and celebrate the rich history of our community.

A special thank you to “Parramatta Council” for their generous grant, which supported our trips to Elizabeth Farm and Hambledon Cottage last year. These visits played an important role in gathering stories and memories of Parramatta for our book.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. Together, we continue to connect generations, preserve local stories and strengthen our community. 💚

🩺 A Journey Through the History of Healthcare! 🏥

Our Community Wheels clients enjoyed a fascinating visit to the SPASM Museum today!

With nine display rooms filled with historical medical equipment, healthcare memorabilia and heritage items, the museum offered a wonderful glimpse into how healthcare has evolved over the years.

From medicine and nursing to dentistry, surgery and more, there was so much to discover and plenty to spark conversations and memories.

A wonderful day of learning, exploring and connecting with history! 💙
Thank you Robyn and Martin for sending these photos :)
