Seven decades of keeping New Zealand moving deserves a celebration.

Opzeeland celebrated its 70th birthday in style at Christchurch Art Gallery, with nearly 200 guests and a new Scania 770S wearing platinum anniversary colours.

There was cake, of course — but that nine-axle curtain sider might just have stolen the show. Congratulations to the Opzeeland team!

Heres one of the manuv, manouvr, manu, moves we had to pull off to get the big 770 Scania and it's Fruehauf trailer in place for the 70th celebration at the Art Gallery on the weekend.

We did a thing recently and all was revealed last night at our 70th Anniversary celebration at the Christchurch Art Gallery. The new flagship has arrived, a 770 Scania Platinum Anniversary truck. This will hit the road shortly running the Christchurch to North Island route with Ben at the wheel. A fantastic celebration of our 70 year history included staff past and present and their partners, as well as clients and suppliers. Thanks to everyone who came along, those who couldn't be there and everyone who has helped shape the history of Opzeeland over the past 70 years. We look forward to the future and what the next 70 years has in store for us.
