We are pleased to see the coverage from NBN Television of this years Newcastle Merchant Navy Memorial Service.

Thank you Sharon Claydon MP for working with the committee each year to host this service, along with the Western Lake Macquarie Concert Band Inc Beth Traynor, Swansea High School Adam Roberts Mission to Seafarers Newcastle 1st Belmont North Sea Scouts

Newcastles service has been traditionally commemorated 2nd Saturday of June each year, as it is the closest to when the first BHP ship was torpedoed and sunk with loss of life of local Newcastle merchant mariners.

We are looking forward to seeing you all this Saturday at 11am for our annual Merchant Navy Memorial Service. Please remember it is being held at the Newcastle Mission to Seafarers in Wickham to be an all weather event. Light refreshments will be available on completion of the service.

So many people often tell us after the Service is held that they did not know about it. We would appreciate your help in sharing this post.
