Today is World Senior Citizens Day, a day that recognises and appreciates senior citizens for all their accomplishments and contributions to the community we live in today. Senior citizens are valued members of society, who have plenty of kind wisdom and experience to share with the younger generation.

They are often overlooked and undermined because of their fragile state, but they have played a huge role in history, either in our communities, the workforce, or in our daily households.

World Senior Citizens Day is a great opportunity to show them love and plenty of kindness in celebrating their golden age and their presence in our lives.

Today we proudly wear a daffodil to support the thousands of Australians impacted by cancer and to help raise vital funds for life-saving cancer research.

At Driving Miss Daisy, we know how important it is to be there for one another during life's challenges. Whether it's providing safe, companion-supported transport to medical appointments or simply offering a friendly face and a helping hand, we're honoured to support members of our community when they need it most.

Every daffodil represents hope for a future where more people survive cancer and live longer, healthier lives.

From the early stages of bringing her idea to life, to seeing the finished film become a finalist in the 2026 REELise Film Festival, we couldn’t be prouder of her. ❤️🎬
