We have not received any news as of today on the current status, we apologise for the inconvenience and will continue to keep people up to date with the time frame for the return of the taxi

Current estimates for the taxi repairs should be completed by 07/08/26 this is only an estimate and could possibly take longer we will try to keep everyone updated

The taxi will be unavailable from the 27/07/26 to have the panel damage repairs done,

Please be advised this is the latest update on the repairs for the taxi, I understand that it is frustrating that the date keeps changing, we are currently just trying to keep everyone posted on when the repairs are to be done.

Just a reminder that Taxi goes off the road in 4 more days on the 13th.

Id like to take a moment to speak about the taxi service and the drivers role and responsibility to the client.
The taxi service is a paid service that takes the client from point A to point B for a fee. You get in meter starts, you get to your destination meter stops.
The taxi driver might help a client get in or out of the taxi, especially if the wheelchair ramp is to be employed, and occassionally may, if they choose to, assist in getting a clients belongings on board, such as loading a pram for a mother who is holding a baby.

The taxi service is NOT a loading and unloading service. If you bring items on board the taxi that is your responsibility to load and unload them. We hate to disappoint our clients, but too often lately, we have had clients get into the taxi and expect their items to be loaded by the driver, and then leave the taxi and go into their home and expect their items to be unloaded and brought into their house by the driver, and thats just not a part of the job. So we would like to remind our customers that your items are your responsibility to load and unload into and out of the taxi, especially heavy items.

The driver was recently unable to work due to his back injury and we do not want that to happen again.

MON -THURS 8 A.M to 8 P.M
FRI - SAT 8 A.M to 10 P.M
SUNDAY CLOSED

If you require the taxi outside these times, please book ahead by phone during business hours thank you.

Service will be starting late today, we will keep you posted when but should be back but it will be at about 10.30 or 11, as we have a client that needs our services to Rocky this morning.

New meter is installed. There was a rollout of new hardware for all the taxis so it was unavoidable. We are one of the LAST people to get it and so glad for that to be over and done and dusted.

The insurance work is still scheduled to begin about the thirteenth so apart from when we have clients taking to Rocky we are set to be fully available until then.
