Extended Delivery Times due to Flooding

With the flooding events happening in Ingham and Townsville area, road freight is being delayed across most of our delivery partners, including Australia Post.

Please allow some extra time for freight to arrive and keep an eye on tracking updates.

Airfreight (AP Express Post, Startrack Premium, TGE Priority) is unaffected at this stage and will still be processed as normal.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we process any backlog freight as it arrives at local facilities.

🚚 MAJOR AUSTRALIA POST UPDATE 🚚

As of Monday 15th April, Australia Post customers North of the Daintree River Ferry can look forward to a 3 DAY PER WEEK delivery and collection service every MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY.

This will be a trial until 31st May when a permanent decision will be made.

Please see the below letter from Australia Post. A copy is also being distributed to all delivery points. Posters will also be placed at public noticeboards.

With Easter fast approaching, this week's usual Friday mail service to all areas other than Cape Trib will be moved forward to Thursday this week instead. Next Tuesday will be as usual. ANZAC Day will not affect mail delivery days this year.

For Cape Trib, subject to road conditions, I will be coming up on Saturday morning with all available mail and parcels. Jack will be having a well-deserved break.

Please note that Cairns Mail Centre and I are currently finalising an updated mail service to Cape Trib to be implemented in the coming weeks. I cannot confirm exactly when, but as soon as it is approved, you will all be informed. Your continued patience is noted and appreciated.

Good morning my favourite Cape Tribbers. I tried to come and visit you personally again today, by road this time not boat like a couple of weeks ago 😉, but alas had to turn around northern side of Mossman due to flooding roads and dangerous conditions. I sincerely apologise I haven't made it up today but as soon as I or Jack can, we'll be there. Sorry Lawrence I did try calling you to let you know.

Good morning guys ... in addition to Jack's speedy trip to Cape Trib this morning, he has also dropped all Cow Bay and Diwan Startrack/Auspost Express and Toll at Rainforest Village. Anything not collected, Jack will recollect and deliver on Tuesday.

Good morning ... Jack has made it through to Cape Trib, well just apparently. Delays caused by Alexander Range not opening until 6am and then all the rain slowed his trip as well. All available mail and parcels are at Mason's for collection later today. Jack's words ... "causeways that we're lapping when heading north were 0.2m when heading south 15 mins later and rains not easing. Noah's was a bit sketch too." Stay safe guys. Any queries, please let me know. AUSTRALIA POST DELIVERY DELAY:

Customers north of DAINTREE RIVER FERRY should expect a 2 - 3 hour delay on mail deliveries today due to vehicle breakdown. Anything undelivered will be prioritised for delivery on our next mail day.

With the timing of the road opening/closing at the moment, Jack and hopefully I will be coming for an early morning visit tomorrow morning (Saturday) with all available mail and parcels. Due to the short hours of access, it will be roadside delivery only with anything oversized being carded to Mason's Store for collection later in the day. Thanks for your understanding guys. Will be up in CAPE TRIBULATION this morning from 7am doing deliveries of ALL PARCELS, including those that have not come via Australia Post. Due to timing this will mostly be a 'To the letterbox' service only and anything oversize will be sent to Mason's Store for collection.

Good morning my favourite troupers ... today's post is for the amazing communities of Lower Daintree to Noah's.
Jack is loaded and on his way. With all the wet stuff still lying around, anything oversized will be carded to either Rainforest Village for those that side of Alexander Range or Mossman PO for the southern side of the Alexander Range.
Thanks to those who have repaired/replaced/put up brand new bigger mailboxes, it really is appreciated and helps us get your goodies direct to you first time around.
So a usual Friday delivery day (excluding Cape Trib 😞😞).
