Update on travel with Emirates Airways.

Effective 1/4/26 Emirates are offering flights back into UAE and Europe

Attached are the rates that they are offering PER CRATE size plus normal airlines charges for Live Animal flights ex Australia.

We are sorry but due to the nature of the increases we have no option than to pass on all increases to clients.

We were deeply saddened as news reached Australia from Austria of the passing of Gwen Ford, one of our most valued and unwavering supporters.

Gwen’s kindness, loyalty, and encouragement meant a great deal to so many, and her support will never be forgotten. She was someone who stood behind others with genuine care, and her presence made a lasting difference.

Our thoughts are with Doug and her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her during this difficult time. May she rest peacefully.

📢 Office Hours Update – Week of 9 March

Just a quick update on our office hours for the coming week.

Our office will be closed Monday 9 March 2026 for the Victorian Public Holiday.

We’ll be back in the office and ready to assist during the following hours:

Tuesday 10 March – Thursday 12 March
🕗 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We will then be closed again on Friday 13 March 2026 for a very special reason… 💍

One of our wonderful long-serving team members, Leigh McVilly, is getting married!

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate this special milestone with Leigh and Ben and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. ❤️

In light of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Moorholme Pet Transport wishes to reassure all clients that the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of every pet in our care remains our absolute priority.

We understand that international events can cause uncertainty, particularly for families with pets travelling to, from, or through affected regions. Please be assured that our experienced team is actively liaising with all relevant airline partners and ground handlers to ensure that every animal is monitored closely and cared for to the highest standard at every stage of their journey.

Where necessary, we are reviewing flight routings, assessing transit points, and implementing contingency planning to avoid disruption and safeguard animal welfare. Our communication with affected airlines is ongoing, and we are receiving regular updates to ensure real-time awareness of any developments.

Moorholme Pet Transport will continue to monitor the situation carefully until stability is restored. We will not allow any pet to travel if we are not completely confident that conditions are safe and appropriate.

With the continued support of the Australian dog and cat communities we have been able to continue our sponsorship fund for this year.

A financial component of each transport booked through Moorholme Pet Transport is set aside and dedicated to put back into sponsoring Junior Handler events throughout Australia. The more transport booked through us the more funds that are available for this very worthy cause.

The more that people promote us, in chat groups or talking to their friends, the less we have to spend on advertising and more we have to put back into sponsoring events

We believe in giving back to the communities that support us and the more transportation the more we have to be able to give back to so many worthy clubs and events including State and National Junior Handler events.

Following previous years we have asked clubs having Moorholme Pet Transport as a sponsor to promote Junior Handler events by using a new logo on their schedules and promotional material to signify that Junior Handler events will be conducted at these events.

This weekend we are sponsoring the Western Classic Junior Handlers in WA so look out for these logos and if attending shows advertising these events, stop what you are doing and go over and show your support and watch and encourage the junior handlers events.

They are the future of this wonderful pastime.
