We are hiring a Transport Allocator!π
HR Logix has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Allocator to join our logistics team based in Tullamarine, Melbourne. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, your primary objective is to ensure that HR Logix provides outstanding service levels to our customers for both on-demand and permanent linehaul vehicle loads and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and allocating of all transport loads, ad-hoc and permanent delivery lanes & planning for HR Logix drivers or subcontractor requirements.
- Co-ordinate loads and communicate with customers to provide quality service outcomes, liaising directly to resolve any issues.
- Co-ordinate driver's fatigue and workloads in accordance with Standard, BFM and AFM systems and processes, in compliance with the NHVR standards.
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to manage the safety and compliance of all parties impacted by HR Logix.
- Provide daily operational guidance to drivers based on freight type, vehicle requirements, load restraints etc.
- Monitor driver performance, conduct meetings & toolboxes.
- Reviewing procedures, processes, and practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all vehicles are clean and well maintained, and meet both HR Logix & Client standards.
About You:
- At least 2 years' experience in a transport related role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in transport operations (scheduling, allocating and dispatching loads), Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, NHVR standards, load planning and restraint.
- Customer service focused with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Previous data-entry and administration experience with Microsoft Excel, including analytical skills to monitor driver daily run sheets, log books and safe-driving plans.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, achieve KPI's with demonstrated teamworking skills.
- High attention to detail - critical thinking and logical reasoning with the ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Strong work ethic with a passion for the logistics industry and commitment to continuous improvement.
This role is full-time based in our Tullamarine office. To be considered, you must be entitled to work in Australia with no restrictions and be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks (including a criminal history check and medical assessment).
