BMR04 has certainly been earning its keep over the past month. I debated for ages whether it had enough capacity to complement our business and whether it was still small enough to fit in the, ever shrinking property sizes. I can say that I’m glad we got a 60. Great boom length for its class, enough capacity for our business model and its manoeuvrability and physical size allows us to get into spaces, that others can’t. 👍🏽

Woollam Constructions tasked BMR Crane Hire to move a 2-piece, 6m x 12m demountable building from its existing footings at the Magpies Sporting Club Mackay to another on-site location across the road near their gym. Due to a retaining wall blocking access, we used our new 60t All Terrain and 20t Franna to remove the two halves in preparation to carry them across the road with traffic control. Once traffic control was set up, we used our 2 x 20t Franna’s to walk and place them into position. Lifting went to plan and the two huts now live in their new position without incident.

What a great feeling it was to have the capability to perform this, in-house. 👍🏽

Today was the maiden voyage for BMR04 and who engaged us? None other than Fergus Builders. Fergus engaged us when we first started with docket 001 and today, their continued support saw the 60tonner lift roof trusses for their residential division. We truly appreciate your business.

Well, she’s arrived safe and sound. This week we’ll be going through operator familiarisations, fit out and weighing for TMR and hopefully not too far away from being ready for hire. -1 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Dual lifting with Max today reminded me of the old Walter Wright days where we had a great crew and always had fun doing what we loved. Client was stoked that we got it out of the position that it was first in and at the efficiency of our team. Get in, get it done safely and get out! 💪🏽

Exciting times ahead!!

In the coming weeks, we will be adding to the fleet, a brand new 60t Manitowoc Grove GMK3060/1L.

Featuring:
- 48m of main boom
- 8/15m of hydraulic luffing fly (0-40deg offset)
- 65m max tip height
- 6x4x6 drive
- All wheel steer
- A compact 3 axle all terain carrier

This crane will complement our existing taxi-hire fleet whilst increasing our steel erecting capabilities.

A big shoutout to Josh from Halliwell Fabrications and Fergus Builders for engaging BMR to erect the new mezzanine floor at Richglen Maintenance Services. Being an existing site and a functioning workplace, meant that minimal disruption was required. 2 days in and out with no damage and a happy client. 👍🏽

We got referred by a friend to lift an old sentimental piano this morning out at Marian. After successfully lifting it out of a tight doorway from a 2 storey house, I received this message from my friend, between him and the client. It feels good knowing that we’re trusted with our clients goods. 👍🏽
