We are excited to officially announce that Country Cabs has taken over Casino Cabs, and some of you may have already noticed our stickers appearing on the yellow Casino taxis around town 🚕

With this exciting growth, we have expanded from 16 cabs to 21, along with an additional 4 private vehicles available for use, helping us provide a bigger and better service to our community.

We are currently changing over to a brand new SmartMove system, and during this transition period we kindly ask for your patience and understanding while our team learns and adjusts to the new processes. Our app is also currently being integrated into the SmartMove system and will be available shortly.

We have also moved our call centre operations from Brisbane to a local station right here in Lismore, helping us keep our service more community-focused and locally operated. Our new staff are working hard to learn the system and the way we operate, so please be kind and allow them a little time as they settle into their roles.

We truly appreciate everyone’s support and understanding while we continue growing and improving our services for the community 💛

🔘 DOUBLE DEMERITS FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT

NSW Police has launched a statewide traffic operation aimed at curbing dangerous driving and preventing further loss of life as drivers hit the roads for the Anzac Day long weekend.

Police will have a high-visibility presence across the state during Operation Anzac Day 2026 from 12.01am Friday 24 April 2026 to 11.59pm Monday 27 April 2026.

A double demerits period targeting speeding, mobile phone use, seatbelt and helmet offences will be in place for the same time period.

Officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command with the assistance of general duties and specialist officers from all police commands and districts across the state will be deployed to urge drivers to make smart choices on the road.

There have been 108 lives lost on NSW roads this year, which is five more than the same time last year.

Members of the public are urged to report motorists engaged in dangerous driving to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
