A Total Disgrace to the Taxi Industry In Hobart !!

A Hobart taxi driver who indecently assaulted a female passenger during his first month on the job has been sentenced to time in prison and is facing deportation to India.
37yo Satpal Singh lured the 22yo into his cab in September 2021 under the guise of a free ride, driving past her destination and ignoring her requests to pull over before placing his hands under her shirt.
The Judge described the married man's lies during his trial as "blatantly obvious", saying he "abused the trust" placed in him as a taxi driver, while the woman says she has "waves of panic" at the sight of taxis and has lost her sense of security.
Singh will serve three months behind bars, with the remaining nine months suspended. His temporary visa could also be cancelled as a result, leaving his wife and two children behind.

On 04/02/2024 at around 8.25 pm in front of Northgate, Glenorchy Taxi Rank 4 Boys and a girl was vandalizing. We condemn such acts on Taxi Vehicles and public properties of this state Tasmania. We hope authorities will look into this matter urgently. Tasmania Police are informed and hope they will investigate this matter to bring this culprits unde the justic of law.

Note : We really appreciate the taxi drivers reaction on this incident self controlling himself to the unfortunate situation. This is an ongoing issue in some of the taxi ranks and public roads by taxi drivers .

or years it's been our request to get an equal opportunity to get a temporary taxi rank during New Year's Eve. This year we got that equal opportunity to display the taxi vehicles to the public and easy access for people to hire taxi vehicles from the Salamanca area.

Bailey Arnot was arrested by Tasmania Police.

We are sharing the Mercury Newspaper covering our story on page no 3.

Our taxi driver says it should not happen to anyone again. We thank you Tasmania Police for your prompt response on the same.

Today at 2.15 am Bailey Arnot a boy from the northern suburb of Hobart jumped on top of the windscreen of the cab and smashed it. If you have any further information about this boy please report it to 131444 Tasmania Police.

Bailey Arnot seems to be very dangerous to the community. Hobart taxi drivers and public be careful with such an individual who is a damage to public.
